Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
The cost of our service is set based upon the individual clients needs for their specific personal situation. We provide the initial consultation (30 minutes) at no cost to you so we can determine what your specific needs are and how we can help you. We can then offer a cost effective option and possibly offer a flat fee option, to help resolve your matter in a cost effective and time efficient manner where possible.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We provide a free, no cost initial consultation (30 minutes) which allows us to determine what course of action is best to suit your specific personal needs. We can then offer a cost effective option and possibly offer a flat fee option, to help resolve your matter in a cost effective and time efficient manner where possible.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have attorney bar memberships in Washington State, California and with the United States Tax Court to go along with my 2 undergraduate degrees, my law degree and my advance law degree, LLM in Taxation (Master of Laws in Taxation). This further enhances my wealth of experiences as a licensed attorney since 1994.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

After law school and passing the bar exam I began working as a practicing attorney in 1994.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Individuals and corporate clients.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

A client came to me about 2 weeks ago with a trial hanging over his head set for one month from that date. He had been trying to represent himself on the matter over the past year and was not getting any where with a very difficult attorney and party on the other side. I was able to offer him a reasonable flat fee to try to help him settle the matter amicably and completely as well as trying to avoid any trial, which were his primary goals. Within 10 days I was able to deal with this difficult attorney and negotiate a full settlement of all issues on the matter. I drafted a settlement agreement that was even better for my client than what he had hoped for that has now been signed by all parties. A very happy client indeed. This was an extremely rewarding experience that we are finalizing today with a full and final signed settlement agreement being submitted to the court without the need for a trial.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Find an experienced attorney who is easy to communicate with and who fully understands your needs and goals on the matter.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
You should try to formulate a list if wants and needs and try to organize your thoughts & your documents to be able to clearly show the attorney what has happened so far and what you hope the result will be going forward.
