Introduction

At Canine Training Collective, we believe good training isn’t just about obedience—it’s about building trust. With over 15 years of hands-on experience, we help dogs and their humans thrive together through real-world, relationship-based training. From puppies to behavior challenges, therapy prep to family manners, we meet you where you are and tailor our programs to your lifestyle—not the other way around. Our approach is practical, compassionate, and proven in everyday environments, not just the training floor. Whether you’re looking to raise a well-rounded companion or navigate specific behavior goals, you’ll get expert support, honest communication, and lasting results. We train dogs to live confidently in the human world—one team at a time.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Our pricing reflects the quality, experience, and real-world results we bring to every training session. We offer a range of programs—from one-on-one private sessions to ongoing membership plans—so we can tailor support to your dog’s needs and your lifestyle. We don’t believe in hidden fees. All pricing is discussed upfront, and we offer discounted rates through packages and multi-session memberships. For clients with multiple dogs or those enrolled in ongoing programs, we’re happy to discuss custom options.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We start by getting to know you and your dog—your goals, your challenges, and your day-to-day lifestyle. Most clients begin with a 30-minute consultation so we can observe behavior, answer your questions, and recommend the best path forward. From there, we’ll guide you into a custom training plan or one of our structured programs based on your dog’s needs. Whether you're working on obedience, reactivity, service dog prep, or general manners, everything we do is built around real-life integration, not cookie-cutter commands. We make training approachable, actionable, and tailored to you—because success comes from trust, not pressure.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Look for a trainer who listens more than they sell. Every dog is different, and the right provider should be focused on building a training plan that fits your dog’s personality and your real-life needs—not just pushing a one-size-fits-all method. Ask questions. A good trainer will welcome them and be transparent about their process, experience, and expectations. Watch how they interact with both dogs and humans—relationship-based training should empower both sides of the leash. Most importantly, trust your gut. The right trainer will make you feel supported, respected, and clear about how you’ll grow together with your dog.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Before reaching out, ask yourself: What specific behaviors or challenges do I want to work on? (Be honest—there’s no judgment here.) What kind of outcome do I want for me and my dog? (Calm in public? Off-leash recall? Confidence at home?) What does my daily routine look like? (So we can build training that fits your life—not the other way around.) Am I ready to be consistent and involved in the process? (Training works best when we’re a team.) Even if you don’t have all the answers, thinking through these ahead of time helps us create a plan that’s realistic, personalized, and successful.
