Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Great question—and one we want to answer as accurately and fairly as possible. Our pricing is based on the unique needs of each dog and household, which is why we start with our Signature Super Session—a comprehensive 1.5 to 2-hour in-home assessment and training session. This allows us to evaluate your dog’s temperament, breed traits, training history (if any), behavior challenges, and your goals. Whether you have a playful puppy, a strong-willed adolescent, a shelter dog with an unknown background, or a pup showing signs of aggression, each situation calls for a customized approach. We also factor in things like: * Number of dogs * Travel time * Whether you’re dealing with obedience basics, biting, potty training, separation anxiety, dog on dog or human aggression, leash reactivity and manners etc... Because of all these variables, we don’t provide cookie-cutter pricing or quotes over the phone. Once we've met your dog(s) and assessed everything firsthand, we’ll provide lots of training right off the bat and then present a clear plan with pricing options that make sense for your specific needs and budget. Let’s set up that first session and get started—your dog’s transformation begins there!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Our signature in-home dog training programs are proven science based behavior change methods that promote physical activity, mental stimulation and, most importantly change in the desired behavior you're hiring us for! So we will always do initial Signature Super Session first...Then design the programs for each case that is customized to the family, goals and needs of each owner. A dog's greatest gift is reading our hearts and minds. Our methods will teach you how to become a team, how your dog thinks, and how they interpret your behaviors. When we train together we'll create that unbreakable bond and relationship, which in turn, will transform your dog into the one you've always dreamed of! We Give Professional, Gentle, Loving, and Careful instruction to You and Your Dog... Always!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
As a professional in-home dog trainer with years of hands-on experience, here’s the advice I’d offer anyone searching for the right fit: Look Beyond the Price Tag Training is an investment in your dog’s future. The cheapest option isn’t always the best, and the most expensive isn’t always the most effective. Focus on value—look for a trainer who listens, communicates clearly, and offers a plan tailored to your dog, not a one-size-fits-all approach. Ask About Philosophy and Methods Training methods matter. Be sure the trainer uses humane, science-based techniques that build trust and strengthen the bond between you and your dog. Avoid anyone relying heavily on punishment or outdated dominance theories. Experience with Your Dog’s Needs Not all trainers are experienced with all behaviors or breeds. Whether you're dealing with a high-energy puppy, a rescue with baggage, separation anxiety, aggression, or simply manners training—make sure the trainer has specific experience with your dog’s needs. Look for a Personal Approach Every dog is unique—and so is every family. A great trainer takes the time to assess your home environment, your routine, and your goals. They should treat your dog like an individual, not a checklist. Transparency and Communication A solid trainer will clearly explain the process, pricing, and what to expect. You should feel empowered, educated, and supported—not overwhelmed or pressured. Check Reviews and Referrals Word of mouth is powerful. Ask your vet, groomer, or neighbors, and read online reviews. A strong reputation in the community is a good sign you're hiring someone who delivers results. Ultimately, the right trainer won’t just “train your dog”—they’ll coach you both into becoming a confident, connected team. That’s when the real transformation happens.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
1. What are your top three goals for your puppy or dog(s)? Understanding your priorities helps us tailor a training plan that aligns with your lifestyle and your dog’s unique needs. 2. How much time can you realistically commit to training each day? For training to be effective, consistency is key. We recommend setting aside at least 10 to 15 minutes a day, 4 to 7 days a week. Dogs—like people—thrive with routine, patience, and clear structure. A little time each day can lead to lasting, positive results.
