Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I try to best fit my clients budget as much as I can. I do offer packages and individual pricing. However, I do also adjust to best fit my clients needs.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
When a client hires me, I make sure they feel like they are part of our family. I make sure I am always there for them, take care of their pet like they were my own, my clients can call me day or night and I am always checking in with them, to see how their pet is doing, how the training is going and how can I help in any way. I also will go to any pet supply house and pick up any food or other supplies for their pet. I want my clients to know they can count on me no matter what. My personal connections with my clients and their pet is what makes my job the best job ever!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have studied dogs and their behavior almost my entire life. They are fascinating creatures. I have been mentored by the most renowned trainers and have learned unique qualities along the way. Dogs are highly intelligent, more than we can imagine. Working with such amazing animals is such a dream come true!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
After years of working in the corporate world, I finally decided to hang up my corporate hat and really do what I enjoy the most....Dogs! I wanted to start a business that not only would brighten up my day when I went into the "office" but would also be a family business, me and my kids would enjoy together. Now I can truly say......."I love my job!"

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with pups from puppy training at 8 weeks to adult pups with aggressive behavior. No dog is aggressive on purpose, they just need a little guidance and reassurance.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
A client had contacted me recently in regards to his pup’s aggression on the leash and to other dogs. During our consultation, I discussed all the possibilities and reasons why his pup might be having these related problems. At that time, I then showed him some tools he could use to help with his leash aggression and just after 30 minutes of our consultation, his pup responded immediately. I then had the owner work with his pup, it took a little longer to adjust the owners “habit” but he finally got the hang of it and now his pup is amazing on the leash. I love seeing instant results from pups. It just makes my job more amazing!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I would say, it's not just about someone's resume. It is more of what that person values and how they truly understand you and your pups needs. I value every pup I either train, walk or pet sit. Every dog needs to just be a dog. Get the exercise they need and deserve, get the attention they love, obtain a great bond with them, and make sure they leave the happiest they can be. Training should never stop once your time is up. Every pup and owner needs a trainer for a life time. I am always there for my pups, helping them in every way that I can. I absolutely love when my past clients send me pictures/videos throughout the pups life. Every one deserves someone by their side.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Ask questions as if it was your child’s first day of kindergarten. What, when, why, and how are always the best questions to ask. Every trainer should give you options. See what works for your pup.
