Introduction

The most important thing your dog needs to understand is that you're their leader and provider in virtually every aspect of their lives. I teach my clients how to teach and lead their canine companions by educating and coaching them. This is essentially how to root out your dog's unwanted behavior issues which will ultimately lead to a fun, happy and well-balanced relationship with your dog. When I work with you, I'll teach you how to correct unwanted behaviors and communicate to your dog by using only body language and voice tones which is essentially how they communicate to each other. I do in-home, private behavioral therapy training because that is where we can get the most attention from the dog, it's where most problems occur, and it's where we can obtain the fastest results. Clients see results literally in the very first session! History Established in 1989. Bark Busters Home Dog Training has been helping owners and their dogs since 1989. One of the world's largest dog training businesses, operating worldwide. Meet The Business Owner Growing up in Sacramento, in a world where animals were not just pets, but family. Earning my Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University, equipped me with the tools to help others, leading me to work with Easter Seals, I spent years providing behavioral training for autistic children. The importance of understanding non-verbal cues, and the transformative potential of a supportive environment. Working as a counselor at a mental health center in Half Moon Bay. Witnessing the joy and healing that 'pet therapy' brought to our clients, opened my eyes to the powerful role animals play in our lives. Whether we're cozy at home, enjoying walks in the neighborhood, my mission is to help you live the life you've always wanted with your best friends. It's an honor to be part of your journey.

At Bark Busters San Mateo, we focus on value by delivering lifetime results. Our pricing is tailored to meet the unique needs of each dog and family, ensuring you get effective and personalized training. While discounts or package options may vary depending on your circumstances, we recommend giving our support team a call for a complimentary consultation. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Our process begins with a free phone consultation where we discuss your dog's history, behavior issues, and your training goals. Once your tailored training plan is set, we kick off with an in-home session, as this is where your dog is most comfortable and where most behavioral issues occur. During the session, Jared Levenson, your dedicated dog behavioral therapist, will help you establish effective communication using body language and voice tones. Remarkably, you’ll often see results within the first visit!

Recently, we worked with a young couple struggling with their anxious dog who barked constantly during work calls. After a single session, they saw remarkable improvements in their dog's behavior. Over three weeks of consistent effort, they gained lasting confidence in managing barking and other stress-related behaviors. It’s always rewarding to see families regain their harmony so quickly with the right tools and training.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Look for a trainer who prioritizes natural, humane methods and understands how dogs communicate. Choose professionals who tailor their approach to your dog's needs, rather than relying on generic fixes. Ask about their background, process, and the long-term support they provide. At Bark Busters, we pride ourselves on lifetime results and unwavering support for you and your pet. Call us today to learn more about what makes us unique.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Think about your dog's specific behaviors and the changes you'd like to see. Are there recurring triggers, such as certain sounds or environments? What are your goals for training, both short term and long term? Identifying these details ahead of time will help us better understand your needs and craft a plan that works for your family.
