Introduction

I've dedicated my entire life to becoming the best family dog behaviorist and trainer you can hire. I have experience from when I was a pre-teen unofficially from being around my father. I have successfully rehabilitated many behavioral cases other trainers said were "unfixable" or had failed. Some of these cases were far worse than most people can imagine. This business has trained well over 14,000 dogs for people from all walks of life including a few big celebrities, however they are the exception not the norm. Most of my clients are everyday people that care deeply about their dog and want the best for them. To learn more about my educational background and training experience please visit my website. I train using love and the latest advanced electronics. My specialty is board and train programs where your dog lives with me for a short time. This is the best way to address behavioral and training problems and gives me complete control of your dogs environment while they are being trained. The basic commands to sit, stay, come, heel and lie down are taught as well as impulse control and general manners around people and other dogs. The goal is to return to you a calm, well balanced dog in the time frame you give me to do so. I also offer private lessons in Santa Clarita if you prefer to do the training yourself. For a 3 week board and train I give a discount to rescue dogs, people over 65, students, and military personnel. I also give 3% discount for all cash payments. I particularly love working with puppies to give them the best start possible. My experience uniquely qualifies me to rehabilitate rescued dogs that have serious issues with fear or aggression or both. I have a special ability to quickly zero in and address the needs of these dogs providing them with what they really need to heal beyond the love they are already receiving. I call it "behavior balancing". Currently, I work with multiple rescues in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. For board and train programs I have limited space so reservations are almost always required. If you are planning to have your dog's training coincide with being out of town call early to assure I have space available Thank you for taking time to read my profile. For tips to help with some common problems please visit my website where you'll find videos. I look forward to meeting you and helping you with your best companion. I generally return inquiries in the morning and evening so please be patient if I don't get back to you immediately.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
A phone call, text or email gets things rolling.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am in the process of becoming a certified dog trainer under A.B.C. I have been training within my own house under a mentor since I was 14.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have been around it all my life, being born into this business and as soon as I could think about what I wanted to do for a career, I was already hands-on working in the industry. As a teenager I would walk and watch dogs for allowance and my love for dogs and the knowledge on how to turn any dog into somebody's perfect best friend gave me passion.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Every type of customer from all types of backgrounds including some pretty big celebrities. About half of my clients are experienced dog owners that have met their challenge with a new dog they rescued and need something beyond the training they get from "cookie cutter" trainers and programs. A good percentage of those dogs are rehabilitation cases. The other half of my clients are new puppy owners that want to learn how to really give their puppy the absolute best start so that they can give them the most freedom possible. My expectations for every dog is that they behave in any setting on or off their leash.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I work with a lot of rescued dogs coming from Korean meat-dog farms. Many I work with have been to other trainers that mean well but don't have the skills to deal with dogs that have come from backgrounds like many of these dogs come from.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Know that not all dog trainers are equally educated and equipped and you should do your research before hiring a dog trainer. I also highly recommend if you are doing a board and train program that you visit the place you are planning to leave your dog before you take them for training. A little research could save your dog and you from many headaches or much worse. Like staying in hotels, reviews don't always reveal things a personal visit will and everyone has a different rating system. What one person says is super clean may be another persons germ nightmare. You tend to get what you pay for is what my clients have told me over the years.
