Introduction

At Forrestglenn Kennels we have been training dog for over 25 years Helping people enjoy their dogs more with a little training We can stop leash pulling , jumping and biting. Of course we encourage all dogs to be housebroken completely As well as training things like , going to the bed , coming when called and other obedience commands. When training with dogs it is so important to help the dog understand what you want. That is what I do best, and help you with as well. I offer information on why dogs do what they do, information that will stay with the client for ever, Not just how to handle a few troubling areas. Although we do work on stopping ,things like biting and jumping, working on housebreaking issues as well as stopping the leash pulling. My training methods get results, helping to lower your stress and make the dog a joy to have around!!!! After years of training, I know there are a lot of different ways to train ,but you must know which method is the right one for each different dog I provide dog training for all breeds and all ages. I can’t think of anything better than helping people enjoy there dogs more. U will get real joy out of seeing the wonderful changes i can help you make with your dogs, with the right training. I believe I am making a difference in the world of dogs one dog at a time! Teaching people how to care for their pet is the most important way to slow the flow of dog to the shelters. Watching young puppies grow to be great dogs is a real satisfaction!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I believe in meeting the clients first Letting them tell me what their needs are finding what their goals are then we come up with the plan that works best for you and your pup

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a graduate from a top school in the U.S. (Ttriple Crown Academy) , school for dog trainer, I attend semanairs yearly to keep up on all the changes in the field , as well as reading lots of books and articles on the latest training methods

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Knowing dogs were my passion, I went to a top dog trainer’s school and began training to help people understand their dogs better

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with people from all walks of life I have helped the elderly as well as working with childern ,I have worked with people who were just are trying to get there puppy a little more under control and those who want to compete with they'er dog in differant sports. I have worked one on one in home training helping people with there family pets I have worked helping to train service dogs for those who need them My work is to try to make sure people keep there dog and find it to be a joy for many years to come

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I just got done with helping a lady get a better handle on her dog , so they could do therpy work with him he recieved his CGC in a short time, and then went on to be part of a team of dogs , that go to hospital to lift patience spirits

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Meet with them and see if you are comfortable with them and the way they deal you and watch how they handle your dog. Letting someone in to your home to work with you and your pet is a very personal thing . Choose carefully and make sure you are comfortable with them. Ask about there experence and where they got there training

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

I believe the most important question is what are your long term goals ? Followed by what is the experience and background of the trainer best thing to know about this profession is that ,there are lots of people that have become trainers over nite and learned what they know from watching the internet but this is work that demands that you get your hands on the dogs to know what you doing, no one learns to swim without getting wet
