When you're searching for someone to help with your dog's behavior and training, hire someone with experience and knowledge. If you are looking for results and a common sense approach to training your dogs. Together we will develop a relationship based training plan to address all of your goals. I provide in home training for dogs and their humans. I also can help with behavior modification for issues like nuisance barking, general obedience, aggression, separation anxiety and leash manners as well as new puppy training services. Whatever you are looking for, I have probably already helped someone else with similar concerns. I really enjoy seeing the relief my clients experience when they thought there was no hope or had been told their dogs behavior could not be changed. As a professional with 16 years of experience, I can help when others have failed.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Pricing varies based upon the number of dogs to be trained and the level of service the customer needs. We generally don't offer a one size fits all approach as every situation is different and everyones budget is not the same. I work with my customers to choose the appropriate level of service to address their needs. The larger packages of lessons reduces the potential cost per session down to under $65 per session. The smallest package drives the cost to $175. per session.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We discuss goals and procedures by telephone before beginning. Once a decision has been made to move forward, an appointment is schedule to begin training. On the first appointment I assess the dog in the home environment and begin the education process for the humans and dogs. At the conclusion of the first appointment a follow up session will be scheduled at an interval to be determined by the amount of progress achieved and the severity of the concerns being addressed.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a Bachelors degree and have been training dogs and their humans since 2001. I have studied many of the trainers in the industry from Roger Abrantes to Sophia Yin.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

My natural love of dogs and one particularly challenging dog led me to research and learn all I could about canine psychology and communication.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with many different pet parents from first time dog owners to experienced dog people in the veterinary profession. I work with anyone interested in building a better relationship with their dogs.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I worked with a couple with two dogs that really didn't like each other and could not be out of their crates at the same time. Everyone expected this to be a very difficult case and several other trainers had refused to take the case. Due to the client's commitment to the dogs and following the direction I provided they were able to have both dogs not only out of their crates at the same time, but they actually enjoyed playing together within six months. What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Look for experience and methodology. What kind of results have they achieved for others? Is there follow up after the initial training?
