Our training Director and founder Mike is also the President of South Florida Schutzhund Club with over 30 members and dogs of all breeds with varying experience. He has also served his community for over 20 years as a Fire Officer/Paramedic for Miami Dade County Fire Rescue, as well as providing Emergency and ICU care as a Registered Nurse.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We offer board and train programs. Our 30 day basic obedience and a discounted six week advanced “off leash” training program are guaranteed for life. Please give us a call for the details.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Meet and great first and foremost! Important to have one on one dialog to establish training needs. Clear communication between owner and trainer is paramount to our training foundation.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

The Bart Bellon NePoPo®️ Silver and Gold School which includes an E-Collar training certification. I am currently the President and Training Director of the South Florida Schutzhund Club. We have over 30 members that participate in the Protection Sport formally known as Schutzhund, now called IGP. I was introduced to the sport and my first Master Coach Phil Hoelcher in1984. Additionally, the struggle to always improve sometimes leads to unintentional mistakes, but inevitably leaves us better prepared for next time.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Started at age 13 showing German Shepard’s in AKC obedience and conformation.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Pet owners and protection sport enthusiasts as well as USAR.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

You want a true professional, an expert in dog behavior. Dog training has evolved 100 fold over the last 5 years! Modern dog trainers speak the language of classical conditioning and the four quadrants of operant learning! Get your monies worth due the research and ask the tough questions!
