Introduction

I've been working with dogs for the past 8 years. I started at doggie daycares where I learned first hand about dog behavior and that grew into wanting to learn how to train dogs. I am constantly attending dog training seminars and trying to improve my craft. I like to take everything into account when I work with owners and their dogs. We will look at your dogs diet, physiology and temperament to tailor a training program that works for everyone.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My pricing can be flexible if need be but I also want people that want to commit to their dog, so it's not priced inexpensively.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
My typical process is I speak with you over the phone about what issues you are dealing with. Tell you about how I train and what to expect. I ask what questions you have for me and we go from there. The programs have their basic structure but are tailored to the individual and their dog or dogs.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am not certified. I have put in time learning under a mentor and educating myself by attending seminars twice year to keep improving my craft!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I originally wanted to be a veterinarian, so I worked as a vet assistant in hospitals for about 5 years. Then I started working at doggie daycares. And the dogs were not the best behaved but I learned about dog behavior and got to see how dogs interact with each other.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I will work with anyone willing to put in the work. I don't want someone who wants me to is all the work because I don't live your dog, they should listen to you and not myself. I have worked with kids and adults, anyone dedicated.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I was working with a dalmatian who was reactive towards guests and other dogs especially. They were nervous about me bringing Marley and having him there in the beginning. But by the end of training they were able to have people over their house! Plus we went on a pack walk, went to downtown tampa, places like curtis hixon and armature works and she walked off leash! And Chloe the dalmatian, loves Marley as well.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Make an informed decision, I think as with anything in life try your best to do your homework. Don't be afraid to try more than one trainer, you have to find what works for you.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
They should ask a lot of questions and get more information before they make a decision. Watch out for anyone guaranteeing results, each dog and owner need to be treated individually.
