Introduction

No Treats, No Clickers, No Shock Collars, No Gimmicks. Leadership training with real, effective and lasting results. Training Humans for Dogs 😜. The Always Faithful Dog Training method is designed to teach you the language of your dog. We call it Leadership Dog Training. Dogs are pack animals. As part of your pack, you want your dog to follow you. Our leadership-based techniques will enable you to be the pack leader. Common dog behaviors like leash pulling, jumping, barking, digging, and generally not listening are signs that your dog wants to lead you. Our private in-home lessons will immediately correct these behaviors and give you the tools to maintain your leadership.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We have very cookie cutter packages however we can also customize a training.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We start out with a phone assessment, then we have an in home assessment to then devise the perfect customized training to reach the goals most important to the customer.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
IDTA Leadership Dog Trainers.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Our trainers are passionate dog owners themselves. The passion came at a childhood age. Most of our trainers have corporate experience which they gave up to follow their hearts of working with animals and specifically dogs.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
It is so broad to narrow down. Multi generational, family, and single homes who have puppy from breeders and rescue puppies from shelters 8-10 weeks old to a more "toddler" puppy 6 months to a year, to adult dogs 3-5 years, to senior dogs 6-10 years. The goals are anywhere from basic obedience to high distraction. The methodology is always the same....no treats, no clickers, no shock collars, no gimmicks.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
A stray rescue adolescent (1-3 year) dog when first met was severely underweight, very apprehensive, no leash training, never introduced to crates, no command training whatsoever. Within 1 week, able to walk calmly on the lease with no pulling, after 1 month knew all basic commands heel, sit, come, stay, down. Learned to love his bed and his crate where he chooses to go lay down with the door open even if not needing to be in it (they are den animals so if used lovingly with the right boundaries can be a solution). After 2 months, recall good and drop and leave toys. After 3 months able to do all commands in high distraction areas. This was an escalated training specialized to get the human and dog to goals of very high distraction for service dog.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Be patient and understand dogs will be dogs. The human is who has to show leadership and have a plan with routines the dog then learns to follow. Make sure the training methods are something that resonate with how you want the life with your FURever friend to be.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Do you treat train, use clickers or shock collars? Is there a methodology that has long lasting results.
