I love canines and believe that they are a perfect example of mindfulness. I volunteer as a foster for the Humane Society - when they have a difficult case. I also volunteer for MOGS and am on their training team.

Group rates are available. Sessions held at Oak Grove park are at a discounted rate.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Leadership Based Training - Meet customer, listen to their needs, wants and concerns. Provide information on training steps. Meet their canine.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

The man who trained me, trained canines in the United States Army for 20 years. He also worked for the New York City Police department training canines for 10 years.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

It started when I took my Rough Collie Joe, to Obedience School.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with many people teaching them the correct way to effectively communicate their wishes to their dog.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I am currently working with Midas, a foster from the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City. He is a Golden Retriever, Pit mix. He lived the first 2 years of his life in a garage, he was a sweetheart who was aggressive to everything he was scared of. The problem he was scared of almost everything because of living in the garage and not being properly socialized. Now he is a loving, confidant 70-pound lap dog. I named the company after him because of his courage to trust people again even after the awful treatment he received during his first years.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

The best advice I can give is, find someone you trust. You get what you pay for.

What are the training steps to start the behavior you are wanting or steps to stopping the behavior you do not want.
