Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We want training to be accessible for everyone, especially anyone with a puppy! Lessons are $45 for puppies under six months old at our facility or $65 at your location! For lessons at your location, there is a mileage fee. We offer discounts for educators and other pet professionals.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We start by setting up a consultation call to make sure we are the absolute best match for you and your dog. Then, you schedule when you would like to have your first lesson or drop off your dog!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Since 2016, Erin has worked with thousands of dogs and their families. She was head trainer at a board and train company. Working with many different breeds, sizes, temperaments, and age ranges has given Erin the ability to help dogs with any issue! Erin is always pursuing continuing education opportunities – she has attended The Lemonade Conference through Fenzi Dog Sports Academy (twice), Training Between the Ears® Level 1, The Clicker Expo, NePoPo® Theory, The Aggression in Dogs Conference, the Puppy Potential Workshop, Canine Con 2022, and Movement Markers Clinic by Maryna Ozuna (TM). She has been a member of the Association for Professional Dog Trainers and an AKC Temperament Test and Canine Good Citizen Evaluator since 2020, and is insured through State Farm. Erin is certified in CPR and first aid for pets through Pet Tech®. Assistant trainer Marco double majored in Computer Science and Philosophy at UNC Charlotte. Since he began training, Marco has attended several workshops, including: NePoPo® Theory, The Aggression in Dogs Conference, the Puppy Potential Workshop, Canine Con 2022, and Movement Markers Clinic by Maryna Ozuna (TM). Marco also ran DogWorld Dog Park, and was in charge of teaching new customers how to ensure their dog was safe and happy while playing with other dogs.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I began by fostering litters of puppies after we lost one of our dogs. The shyest pup had never been touched by a human, even though he was 14 weeks old! I began working with him, first just re-socializing him, then adding tricks, then adding obedience - now, he is a confident, sweet, obedient guy - I often use him to help train other dogs! From there, I began to work with every dog I could get my hands on. I eventually interned with a local trainer and worked my way up to head trainer at that facility. I pursued continuing education on my own, and in April 2021 left to work on DogWorld Dog Park and begin my own training business!
