Introduction

Commander Paw - Ex-military Dog Trainer My name is Sam Jessel. I am a professional dog trainer based in Beachwood Ohio. I have over 10 years of experience as a dog trainer. I have dedicated 3 years serving as a commander in the Israeli K-9 special forces unit. Strengthening the chemistry between you and your dog is my top priority. I believe that every dog owner’s first goal should be to “Try and become the person your dog thinks you are.” Through positive reinforcement, I will teach your dog how to express and behave to the best of the dog's ability. Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I charge $150 for a 60 minutes session. I charge $50 for deposit and the rest of the payment will be charged by the end of the session.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
At first I would like to get to know you and your dog. I would like to know about the living conditions and the environment that you are currently living in. I would like to know your schedule with your dog( feeding times, playtime, walk time ) . After gathering enough information we can work together on creating a game plan for training.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
My education and experience comes from the military serving in the K-9 unit special forces.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I served in the army for 3 years as a commander of the bomb sniffing squad. I have been living in New York since 2013 and I have been training city dogs ever since.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I found it interesting to work with rescue dogs. The more I interact with the dogs the more I have the ability to understand what they went through. The project is still in the works and I see improvements every time.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Look for a trainer that would not only work with your dog but work with both you and your dog together. We are looking to create a team that works together.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
You should tell the professional what is your main goal.
