Introduction

My name is Stacey Stovall, lead behavior trainer at Buddy’s Dog School, and I have been training dogs of all ages, breeds and backgrounds for over 18 years. I have the experience, knowledge, and resources to provide the right solution to any problem. Training Made Simple. Behavior training is highly effective and very simple. Without using treats or other bribes, the dogs learn to be well mannered and obedient! Most importantly, we teach YOU, their owner, how to be the leader of the family! Using simple and effective training methods, the dogs quickly learn to repeat the wanted behavior and stop the unwanted behavior. There are a variety of training program options to provide the right solution for anyone. No matter which option you pick, you will be a major part of the training process to ensure lifelong results. You will also have access to lifelong training support, exclusive boarding for the training graduate and other dogs in the home, plus be eligible to earn other rewards anytime after you complete a training program! Behavior training is a true passion of mine! I LOVE helping people succeed with their dog like they've always dreamed of, especially the ones that have "tried EVERYTHING". There is nothing more rewarding than watching owners enjoy their own dog and have fun!

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Pricing is very simple and is based on the training option you choose to enroll in. Military discounts are also available! Programs are non refundable. Contact us for details on our various training options available.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We always start with a phone consult to cover the majority of initial questions and help you decide which training option is the best fit for you. Then we will schedule an enrollment appointment and your training program start date. We encourage you to ask any questions you have throughout the entire process so you understand why and how it all works!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have 18 years experience training dogs and their humans, working with a variety of behavior problems, and competing in obedience trials at local and national levels, including a 6th place finish at a nationwide top 10 invitational. I am also a certified AKC CGC Evaluator. I have 16 years of experience training, grooming and showing multiple breeds of champion show dogs.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I started out as a student in beginner class just like everyone else. I stuck with it through the highest level of classes and began competing in obedience trials through AKC, ASCA, and UKC. I loved everything about it and became very successful, but I also loved the benefits it provided to every day house dogs and their owners. I have taught countless group classes and trained multiple competition dogs. Training is simply what I love to do.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with many types of clients ranging from 7 week old puppies to 10+ year old seniors. I've trained 100's of dog/owner teams from basic house manners to competition obedience trials in AKC and ASCA.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I recently rehabilitated a 7 year old dog that was so fear aggressive that he would bite anyone who approached him, including his owners! After 4 weeks of Boarding School along with the included Private School classes for the owners, this little guy can now be walked, groomed, examined, and safely travel with his owners!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Ask questions! You should call and ask questions about your specific needs with your dog, what training options are available, their experience, background, training methods, and referrals.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Are you willing to commit to the training? Are you prepared to be involved in the process? The answers needs to be YES! Consistency is a huge key to success in training your dog which requires commitment. That doesn't mean hours a day. Simply 5-10 minutes of active training, plus reinforcing the new boundaries around the house as needed. Dog training is 80% human which means it's extremely important for you to participate in the training or it won't work. Again, the more consistent you are, the faster the dog gets it!
