Introduction

We use no treats, clickers, or shock collars to train your dog. Instead we use their natural instincts to follow their pack leader. By helping your dog recognize their human as their pack leader. We build a relationship and bond of trust that allows your dog to follow you without question. I have nearly 3 years experience in teaching this program to clients at their location. I have also conducted 18 months of intensive Board&Train program training. Our Board&Train program never exceeds 3 dogs in attendance. In this way we insure that each dog receives the dedicated training time required to reach their training goals. While working as an AFDT trainer in the N TX DFW area. I trained for the Fort Worth and Denton franchises and provided Board&Train services for Fort Worth, Denton, and Dallas franchises. I am now bringing that experience and knowledge to the San Antonio metro area.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We have a 10% discounts to all military or first responders and veterans.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We will travel to your location to work with you and your dog in the very same environment you will be working on a daily basis. This allows you and your dog to be as comfortable as possible during the training process.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have over 8 years of personnel study and 3 years of hands on training experience. I was the North Texas Board and Train facilitator for all three of the AFDT N, TX. franchises. Fort Worth/Dallas/Denton.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
After watching all the shelters/rescues and pet stores be emptied by people adopting dogs during the COVID shut in period, I decided the time was right to transition to the job I had wanted for years. So like many people I made the COVID pivot to dog training.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with every kind of client from 8-80 years of age.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Find a trainer that doesn't rely on treats, clickers, or shock collars to train a dog. Will you always have a pocket full of treats when you need your dog to obey? Will you always have a clicker in your hand? What if the batteries in that shock collar are dead? These are all cheap short cuts to learning to be a leader for your dog. Dogs are pack animals, they are by their very nature pre-disposed to follow their pack leader. I will teach you to be that leader and show your dog you can be trusted.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Are you prepared for not just the financial expense, but the time and effort it takes to be your dogs pack leader?
