All Woofie’s team members go through a thorough background check and training to set them up for success. Through our app, we provide journal updates and pictures to let you see and hear how your pet is doing while in our care. Want to get away for the weekend and leave your pets at home? An overnight pet sitting in your home or the home of one of our pet sitters may be a great fit for your pet. If your pets are most comfortable in their surroundings, we are happy to come to you. If your pets enjoy interacting with other pets and new humans, then pet sitting in a sitter’s home is a great option to explore. You will receive journal and picture updates of your pet while you are away. Could your dog benefit from a weekly or daily walk? We offer dog walking for your pup in your neighborhood, following the path you prefer, and with the attention of the dog walker on only your pups. You will be able to see when we arrive, the path we take, and when the walk ends. Our app also allows you to read journals from the dog walker, so you can see and hear the fun they had on their walk. Let Woofie’s reduce the stress accompanying a trip to the grooming shop. We do not use crates; our dog stylist is with your dog from start to finish and will take the time needed to earn your dog’s trust. Our experienced groomers have the time they need to build a bond with your pet while providing quality grooms. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Dog walking services are based on the length of time a customer prefers we spend with their pup. We will tailor the walk to fit the needs of our customers. Typically, walks range from 15 minutes up to 60 minutes. Our most popular option is a 30-minute walk. During the hot summer months, we are happy to walk dogs in the early mornings or the later evenings to help reduce issues associated with excessive heat.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We establish an account for each new customer. It contains basic information like address, phone number, email address, and information about your pup. We request rabies vaccination expiration dates, and if the pet parent does not have it handy, we are happy to contact their vet to get that information.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am CPR-certified for pets and a member of Pet Sitters International. As the owner, I have a degree in business management along with 25+ years of experience in executive customer service and sales management. Dog companionship has been a part of adult life for over 30 years and raising bunnies was fun as a kid in New England.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

The pet care industry was a natural fit allowing me to combine my desire to help people and pets. I enjoy learning peoples' stories and learning how much they love their pets. Pet parents are fun to get to know and they love to talk about their fur babies. I love to hear those stories and I love pets.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Our customers represent the population of Tucson pet parents who love their pets and want to ensure they have a safe, happy, and healthy life. We often help people unable to walk their dog for health reasons, or because of a challenging schedule. We are here to provide peace of mind for pet parents and we love doing it!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We help people who find themselves in the hospital unexpectedly. We arrange to get their pets or enter their home to care for their pets. We send them updates so they know their pets are safe and well cared for while they are in the hospital. Providing this peace of mind helps them focus on their recovery knowing their pets are being loved and doing well.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Spend time getting to know your pet care provider. They will care for your precious pet, and it is important to trust them and the team working with them. Ask if the team passed a thorough background check and had training. Ask how you will receive updates, and what will happen in the case of an emergency.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Are there specific paths your dog prefers to walk or not walk? Would you like them to work on certain commands to help ensure continuity? What will the dog walker do when approaching another dog on the walk? Is the dog walker comfortable walking dogs for the desired length of time?
