Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Our group walks are $35 per hike and $32 if hiking 5 or more days per week. In multi-dog households we charge an additional $25 per dog or $23 with the daily discount.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We set aside an afternoon to come by and get to know you and your dog and how you would like us to pick up and drop off. This process also helps us get to know dogs that may be more nervous around new people. On their first walk with us, we use a 30 or 50 foot long leash to assess their ability to recall or stay with the group. They show us when they're ready to be safely off leash. We take our time to really grow bonds with you and your canine companion!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Among the three of us, we share more than a decade of dog handling experience. Bonni has been walking dogs since 2014, attended veterinary technology school and worked in the behavior department at an animal shelter before she began walking dogs in groups in 2018. Tara has been walking dogs in a group setting for several years and worked at a veterinary hospital. Carlos has experience working at kennels, group dog walking and has a wonderfully trained Belgian Malinois named Yumi!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
We have always been passionate about animals and can't see ourselves doing anything else!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We service dogs of all sizes and ages from puppies who have little to no off-leash experience to seniors living their golden years having daily outings with us!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We all have several proud moments where our hard work has come to light. Whether it be our patience getting to know nervous dogs, incorporating training to dogs who have potential or teaching recall and them being allowed the freedom to safely run free with the group.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Dog walking has grown into a wonderfully diverse market offering many kinds of services. Knowing what you are looking for and what services suit your dog best is something we would be happy to discuss.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Questions we ask clients upon initial meeting would be; - Does your dog have positive experience around other dogs? - Have you practiced recall or off leash training? - Is your dog up-to-date on their vaccines? - Do you have a schedule you'd like us to work with?
