What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

As a pet sitter, my typical process for working with a new customer involves an initial consultation to discuss their pet's needs, routines, and any special requirements. I'll gather information on feeding schedules, medication administration, exercise preferences, and emergency contacts. I'll also ask about the pet's behavior, likes, and dislikes to ensure a comfortable experience. During visits, I maintain open communication with the owner through updates and photos, adhering closely to the agreed-upon schedule and care instructions. After each visit, I'll provide a detailed report summarizing the day's activities and any notable observations.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I possess over 11 years of hands-on experience working with various types of pets, including dogs, cats, birds, and small mammals. This extensive experience has provided me with invaluable knowledge of animal behavior, basic medical care, and handling techniques. Additionally, I WILL be completing specialized training courses in pet first aid and CPR in March 2024.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I began pet sitting as a way to honor the memory of my beloved dog, Savanna, who passed away. My deep connection with my pets ignited a passion for providing care and companionship to other animals. Inspired by Savanna's unconditional love, I decided to channel my grief into something positive by giving back to the pet community. Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

One recent project I particularly enjoyed was caring for a lively 4-month-old puppy. I provided comprehensive care, ensuring the puppy's physical and emotional needs were met. This involved feeding, grooming, exercise, and plenty of playtime to stimulate development and socialization. Despite the challenges of puppy energy, I found immense joy in watching the puppy grow and learn each day.
