Fetch! Pet Care has been operating under my ownership since 2007 and specializes in one on one care for your pets in Marin County, Alameda County, Contra Costa County and Sonoma County. We provide private or small group walks (same cost) and in home pet care with a loving, qualified specialist. Our services range from dog walking, in home boarding, overnight pet sitting, cat and small animal visits, hotel pet sitting and pet taxi. Our staff of Pet Care Specialists are genuine pet lovers who are pleased to help keep your pet healthy and happy by maintaining their daily routine and are experienced in giving your pets the extra TLC they deserve. We are licensed, bonded, insured and can provide background checks for all of our sitters! We send our client’s surveys after every service to make sure we always maintain an outstanding level of pet care with sitters that are receiving glowing reviews. We are members of the Better Business Bureau, several local chambers and associations. It is our goal to provide the highest level of pet care and always be available for our clients pet care needs, even at the last minute. We know how hard it is to find quality, reliable pet care at all times and we hope to become your “go to” company for all your pet care needs. We also have an app to track all the visits and walks and leave virtual journal entries for owners. The pets are always so happy to see their sitter! It is a great feeling knowing we are providing love, comfort and a healthy lifestyle to pets and their owners. Being a pet sitter is rewarding because the animals and owners truly appreciate the service and we get to see first hand ever day the happiness we are bringing to their lives.

We offer a 5% discount for Monday through Friday walks and 10% off for first time customers when you mention this offer.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We get all your information and what type of sitter would suite you best and then set up a complimentary meet and greet

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

All the sitters have been Covid Safety Certified for coming into people's home to care for their pets. Many sitters are trained in medicine administration and have experience with special needs pets, behavioral issues and geriatric pets. Many have been vet techs and have volunteered at rescue organizations for more training with different types of animals and needs.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started in 2007 in Los Angeles working for the Fetch! Pet Care in Studio City. I am originally from Marin and I loved the work so much I decided to start the Marin and Sonoma area and moved back home and then later expanded in to Oakland, Berkeley, Alameda and the greater Eastbay. The Bay Area is the perfect place to be a dog walker and Pet Sitter. There is unlimited hiking areas and the pet owners are the best. Many clients have rescued their animals and they require special care. I have found that the pet owners in this area are caring and responsible and appreciate quality pet care.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We have worked from everyone from nurses with irregular schedules that we need to accommodate last minute to people who travel for months that require live in care and home care extensively. We have prepared special meals for pets and followed extensive instructions for their needs. We have also boarded cats for clients who are out of the area for an extended period of time. We have worked with dog owners who dogs are aggressive toward people and other dogs to get them to trust us so their owners can leave town finally.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We recently took care of a dog for 6 months while his owner filmed a movie and he really became part of our family.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Please check out our numerous reviews on yelp and google. We gained those reviews from providing outstanding, reliable pet care. I often get customers who come to us since their sitter backed out on them and this does not happen at Fetch. I make sure I can send out a sub

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Clients should think about how long a company has been in business and making sure that person or company is on several review platforms. It is easy for someone to give a few good references and leave out the clients that were not happy with their service. Also, clients should make sure the sitter has a back up sitter in case of an emergency. Often times we are called as an emergency back up because someone hired a sitter who flaked and had no other option for care. This is why having a staff of trained professionals is important. If one of our sitters has an emergency we have back up support. Be sure to hire someone who is licensed, bonded and insured in case your sitter breaks something at your home or does something negligent that requires vet or medical attention.
