That's why only the most qualified pet sitter should be in charge of you pets care when your not there! My name is Cheyenne, I am currently working at a Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Center in Sarasota as a technician. I am a certified veterinary assistant and continuously working on my Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine. I have experience with small animals, exotics, and wildlife. We have two cats and two dogs. My fiance and I also have two beautiful little girls. I have always loved animals and decided to pursue a career in animal welfare and veterinary medicine. One thing that has been brought up multiple times while working is pet sitters needed, and who better to care for your pet than a professional pet nurse? Our services include the following: * Dog Walking * Pet Sitting * Baths * Nail Trims * Ear Clearing * Field Trips (Available on special request only) * Basic Care * Advanced Care * Medicating Pets (giving oral and injectable medication prescribed by DVM and preventatives) Every pet is made to feel loved and noticed with every visit! How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Why Shiney Day? While in school, I participated in a duel enrollment program that allowed students to obtain a higher degree and was able to complete the program as a Certified Veterinary Assistant before graduating. On November 11th, 2011 I was placed in a Veterinary Practice for my internship, the doctor I worked for insisted on calling me "Shiney" instead of Cheyenne because I was very outgoing and was the "sunshine" to everyone's "day." Six years later I have grown into a technician at a 24 hour Emergency and Specialty Hospital and the name stayed with me.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
1. What do you like about being a pet sitter? -Great service is provided by passion. 2. What qualifications do you have?- -Hiring just a 'pet lover' isn't enough. 3. Can you provide references? -Knowing how reliable an individual is will help make the decision easier. 4. What services are included in the price? What is not included? -This will help eliminate fees and make sure you and your provider are on the same page. 5. Will you be the one handling my pet when I’m away? -There are some companies that hire contractors to handle clients during busy seasons. Make sure to ask who will be the one checking on your pet while you’re away. 6. What is your protocol in the case of an emergency? -We all hate to think of this, but it can help put your mind at ease if you know what the general procedure is should the worst case scenario become a reality. 7. Will my pet be around other pets? -It doesn’t hurt to ask your pet sitter what her policy is regarding this matter, and it’s perfectly acceptable for you to make it clear that you DON’T want your dog interacting with others if that’s the case. 8. How can I reach you to check in on my pet? -Some trips can leave both you and your pet anxious, knowing that you will be able to reach your provider by phone, text or email is important in relieving tension and overall stress. **9. Know what bonded and insured means in the aspect of pet sitting. "IF A PET SITTING COMPANY IS BONDED AND INSURED, THAT MEANS I CAN TRUST THEM." -Not always the case. When a company is bonded and insured, it means that they paid the $50 to be bonded and $350- ? to be insured. All it means is they paid for insurance. It holds absolutely no meaning with the reputation of their services.
