Introduction

Are you looking for a loving, trustworthy, and caring professional person to look after your furry family members while you're away? Hi, I’m Linda, the Happy Pet Sitter. I am creating Happy Paws, one visit at a time. My background is in real estate and notary services, but my true passion is caring for animals. If you’d rather not board your pets in a kennel, I’m here to offer a more personal and comfortable alternative. I offer 30 and 60 minute drop-ins, whether it’s for feeding, providing fresh water, giving cuddles, cleaning the litter box, or taking walks and playtime, I’ll make sure your pets feel loved, safe, and well-cared for. I also offer overnight services in your home or mine.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Prices listed are a baseline. I would prefer finding out more about your furry family member, so I can price accordingly to your pets needs.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
An initial call to introduce ourselves, discuss you and your pets needs, meet and greet (especially with dogs), discuss payment arrangements and HIRE me to be your pet provider! I promise that your furry family member(s) will be in good hands.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I grew up with dogs, cats, gerbils and rabbits and the love of animals is engrained in me. My background is for the last 2 decades has been real estate and notary, but my passion for animals is what I really love doing. For the last 12 years, I have been dogs walking, pet sitting and boarding dogs either at their home or mine. I do have 1 indoor cat, her name is Daisy, and she gets along with all breeds of dogs. I feel animals know that that I love them and they seem to gravitate to me.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
As I have mentioned, I grew up with pets and to earn my allowance money, I would pet sit (walk, feed and give companionship) to my neighbors pets. I have volunteered at the humane society and have continued to seek out pet owners while I am on walks to let them know that I am here to be an extension of their family. Through referrals, I have enjoyed being part of many animals lives.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked will a variety of customers, but the common denominator that they all have, is the love that they have for animals.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Hire a person that you trust to take care of your prize possession and make sure that they truly care about your pets health, safety and well being. Find someone who is known to be reliable and dependable, so while you are away, you don't have to worry about a thing.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Just because a person might have a large social media presence & reviews, doesn't mean that they are always the best fit for you and your pets. I believe pet experience is just as important as life experiences, when it comes to being reliable, responsible and trustworthy.
