Introduction

Winter Park Pet Concierge (WPPC) is a specialized dog walking and in home pet sitting service that gives peace of mind to pet owners while they are away from home. Do you want to ensure that your pet receives first-rate pet care while you are at work or traveling? Do you want to eliminate the stress your pet experiences when home alone? Would you like your dog to burn off their energy and enjoy a refreshing walk while you are at work or out for the day? We allow you to work guilt free and travel worry free. Your pets receive companionship in their own home so there are no worries about anxiety over a new location, battles over who the Alpha dog is or squabbles with other pets. If you are visiting from out-of-town, we make your pet's hotel stay an easy one. We offer many traditional pet services such as dog walking, cat care, vacation visits, medical injections and fluid administration, pet taxi, hotel visits and overnight pet sitting. We also offer special services like our litter box scrub out service, ear cleaning and tooth brushing service. Exclusively for our ongoing clients, we offer an emergency lock-out service. We service Winter Park, Baldwin Park, Maitland, Casselberry, Oviedo, Altamonte Springs and some neighborhoods in Winter Springs. History Established in 2015. It all started back when I was a young girl and was convinced I was going to be a Veterinarian when I grew up. Being raised with Pit Bulls, Great Danes, Angora cats and a chicken named "Peck" fostered my love for animals. At age 17, I spent nearly 400 hours volunteering at the Santa Monica Animal Shelter and at 19 began dog walking to raise money for missionary work. These two experiences started it all. Most recently, I worked for a friend at the very successful Lake Nona Dog Walkers. Relocating has given birth to Winter Park Pet Concierge. Through the years, I've cared for cats, dogs, turtles, ferrets, snakes, tarantulas, lizards and so many more; big, small, active, couch potatoes, young, old, dying and everything in between. All the purrs, barks, chirps, squawks, slithers and slobs have helped me grow even more in love with them.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My rates are rather standard for the industry. My base pricing for dog walking, cat care and vacation visits is $20 for one to two pets for a half hour visit. If your pets need more time, $27 for a 45 minute visit and $37 for a 60 minute visit might suit them better. Winter Park Pet Concierge charges $5 more for three or more pets. If a household has 6 or more pets, a 60 minute visit is required.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Winter Park Pet Concierge schedules Meet & Greets, which is a time to meet both owner and pets. We discuss routines and specific pet care needs as well as new client paperwork.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have worked with animals since I was a teenager. The first time I worked as a dog walker, I was 19 years old and I was trying to raise money for mission work for my church. It never really stopped after that. I'll admit I only considered it a part time "side job" for most of my life but had a change of heart in the last few years.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
As stated earlier, I started doing this work when I was 19 years old, but always did volunteer work at Animal Shelters when I was even younger.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with all sort of people and pets. My clients are retired, widows, empty nesters, doctors, nurses, real estate agents and so many others. I have worked with every breed of cats, dogs, many birds, reptiles and even farm animals. I grew up with Pit Bulls and Great Danes so I do have a fancy for large dogs.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Make sure you only consider companies that are insured, bonded and Pet First Aid/CPR Certified.
