Introduction

I've been around dogs my entire life, but have been caring for dogs of my own since I was 13 years old. I currently have an 11 year old Pitbull/Staffy mix that I rescued 2 years ago, and had a beautiful Pitbull prior until he passed at age 14. I have volunteered at a local shelter and have always felt a very strong bond with dogs. I truly love helping them and get so much fulfillment from doing so. I have experience helping out with friends and family member's pets, administering medications and supplements, as well as bathing. Caring for pets is one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done and I appreciate you giving me a chance! As a pet sitter, I love giving your pets plenty of affection and attention since pets usually miss their owners while they're away. I am very thorough and treat your pets the same way I treat mine. I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes and even cats. I look forward to working with you and meeting your pets!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I prefer to either meet with them in person beforehand or speak with them over the phone, via Zoom etc to get some base information regarding their pet, their preferences, feeding times, walking instructions etc. This ensures that I can care for your pet(s) in a manner that is most comfortable to you and your pet.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have had dogs for most of my life, I’ve helped care for family members’ pets and I have volunteered at dog shelters. I also have a Pet CPR + First Aid Certification.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I decided that doing social media and sales wasn’t fulfilling me at a deep level, so I followed my passion and love for dogs, and decided this was what I needed in my life to truly make me happy. I truly enjoy the company of animals and taking care of them.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with customers of different ages and backgrounds with dogs and cats. I am open to caring for other animals, excluding snakes. Sorry!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I house sat and did drop in care/walks for a 5 year old Pitbull named Norman. He was super energetic, goofy as can be, and since the owner was okay with my daughter coming with to play with him, we all had a blast together playing with his toys outside, going on walks, and snuggling.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

To make sure the person understands the importance of following rules/routines for someone’s pet. Details are very important regarding feeding, administering medication/supplements and ensuring the safety of the dog at all times. Showing a genuine love for animals is also a must!
