Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We offer convenient packages for most of our services, for example; 5, 10, 15 or 20 dog walk package or 5, 10, 15, 20 day care package. We find they are a helpful convenience for our clients and help to make pet care costs more manageable for them.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Usually we'll correspond through TT via text, then either speak on the phone first, then arrange a meet n' greet in person. The meet n' greet is an opportunity to answer further questions, meet the client's pet and see if we have a good fit on both ends. It's also an opportunity to address any concerns the client may have and help to ease their concerns.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Quite by accident! After my last dog; Jaya a miniature schnauzer passed, I needed to take a break from pet ownership after 17 years of having multiple pets. A few months later, my sister asked me watch her pet while she was away on vacation for a few days.....I enjoyed the experience so much that when a friend and later a neighbor asked if I would care for their pets, the idea of caring for pets as a rewarding and enjoyable way to make extra money was born. Soon after, it became Robin's Pet Sitting Services and I have been busy caring for other's pets ever since.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
In the three years of business, we have worked with all kinds of clients from all backgrounds, walks of life and varying budgets. Meeting new people and establishing new relationships while caring for their pets has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my business.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I love preparing video and photo collages for our clients of their pets during their stay with us. It's a creative outlet for me and clients love receiving them or viewing them on social media. It also gives them a fun keepsake of their pet's stay.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Provide as much detail as possible in your initial inquiry....for example; breed, size, weight, special concerns and dates of service requested. This will help to ensure the match is a good fit. Also, some fees are based on distance and timing so by providing as much information as possible we can save time and ensure a good match.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
It is very helpful and time saving when clients offer the following information when making their first inquiry: Pet breed Pet size & weight Special needs Temperament Dates of service That way I can respond having this information already.
