What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Beginning price is $ 20 per simple visit . This would be care for one or two cat(s) who don't have any special concerns. Fee for one dog is $20 depending on the dog's needs and location possibly up to $25 a visit.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I prefer to make a house visit before taking care of any animal; so they become familiar with us and it's a good chance to get to know the owners and their pets. House visits also give us a chance to see where all the necessities (food, poop bags, toys, medicine) are. We will ALWAYS you ask for a letter to your vet giving us permission to give the animal medical care should the need arise.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a retired teacher and I have been doing this business about 10 years. I started teaming with my daughter to give her a way to earn money. I have kept it going because I like meeting people and caring for their pets.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started it with my kids because they wanted to make money and liked working with animals.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

The most recent job I've gotten is for a couple who were traveling outside of the country for 1.5 months. And every other day I visited their cat, fed her/ refilled the water bowl, played with her, and changed her litter box. This was the 3rd or 4th time I've taken care of their cat in the past year.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

If a dog is involved make sure the sitter can interact with your pet.
