Introduction

I personalize each visit to the pet and families' needs. I also do not do pack walking which can be potentially dangerous if pets from different families do not get along. As a trainer I can read your dog's body language and avoid stress that can result in aggression, fearfulness and other behavior issues. I come to your home where pets are usually most relaxed. I do offer discounts for seniors that can not get out to walk their dogs themselves and need help. I love meeting other dog lovers and have never met a dog I didn't like!

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My prices are for a basic service visit for one dog. I charge $5 per dog for each extra dog; however some discounts are available to multi-pet homes depending on the services provided during your time slot.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We must have a meet and greet with pet, pet parents and myself before I will accept a new client or start any services. As with almost everything these days there are forms that must be filled out before services start. If the meet and greet goes well services can start within a week.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am a certified dog trainer and am good at reading most pets body language. I focus more on the pet sitting and dog walking services now instead of training, but that experience helps me keep your pet safe and happy during my visits.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have always loved animals and wanted to work with them. After being a pet mom for over 30 years I decided to leave the office jobs behind and put all my animal care knowledge to work for me. I went through dog training certification to broaden my abilities and learn different techniques that I had never used with my own pets.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I provide daily walks around your own neighborhood including waste pick up after bathroom breaks. After walks I provide water breaks, play time and snuggle time before pets are left alone again. I also provide feeding services upon request.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I was walking a client dog that has a history of aggression towards other dogs when he feel threatened. During our walk we were charged by another large dog that had escaped from his yard. I was able to keep my dog calm and away from the charging dog until his owners got him under control. By reading both dogs body language and calmly asserting behavior cues to both dogs I was able to avoid a dog fight and keep both dogs safe.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Make sure they are insured, have references/reviews and will come to interview with your pet before you hire them. Your pet's reaction to the person will allow you to determine if they will be a good fit. This person will be caring for your pet while you are not home so Fiddo's trust is very important.
