We love to let our work speak for itself! At Home Pet Care, LLC has been around since 1998! We have many happy customers and plenty of positive reviews. We understand how hard it is to leave your furry loved-ones, and we do everything possible to help ease that concern by ensuring that they will receive the same love and familiar routine that they do when you are home! We know how much fun it is to be greeted by your pet when you return and want to enable you to be able to look forward to that moment instead of worrying about how they might be doing. We stay in communication with you during our visits and send pictures of your adorable pets so you can see how much fun they are having while you are away! Being around animals all day is a joy beyond words, and I look to hire staff that feel the same way! The wet noses, furry kisses and unconditional love we experience gets us out of bed every morning with a smile on our face. I also love working with our human clients to ensure that we offer the best services possible. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Our rates are all-inclusive and do not increase based off the number of pets you need us to care for. Each rate is listed as follows: $27.00 for each 30-minute visit $34.00 for each 45-minute visit $39.00 for each 60-minute visit If you have a different length of visit in mind, we are certainly happy to create a quote for that also. At Home Pet Care also goes above and beyond by providing free complimentary services such as bringing in your mail, watering your plants, taking trash cans to and from the curb plus more. We are proud to provide you a worry-free, safe and professional experience for your pet by emailing you fun journals after every visit so that you can keep up-to-date with what a great time your pet is having while you are away!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Typically we will talk with a new client over the phone or by email to answer their initial questions. Then we schedule a complimentary initial meeting that we call the Pet Parent Meeting. We sit down face-to-face with the client and meet their pets. This is a great time for them to walk us through their pet(s)' normal routine and explain to us in deeper detail what they would like to happen when we are doing the visits. It's also another opportunity for them to ask more questions that they may have thought of after our first conversation.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have always had a variety of pets through my entire life. I love animals and spend my free time learning more about their zoology. I have volunteered in animal shelters in the past and have been in the pet-sitting industry professionally since 2013.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

My family moved to Minnesota in 2009. During that transition, I wasn't initially working outside of the home; I was taking some time to help our children adjust to the move. We also had two young labs, and I really loved teaching them fun commands using positive-only reinforcement. They learned so fast and were so enjoyable to work with, that I knew I wanted to be in the pet industry. I began working for At Home Pet Care, LLC in 2013 as an employee and have since taken over ownership. I am so blessed to wake up every morning knowing that there are so many sweet furry faces waiting to see my staff and myself!

What types of customers have you worked with?

We love working with all types of pets! We work with plenty of dogs and cats of all ages, breeds and health conditions. But we are very excited to sit with other animals as well! Many of our clients have had guinea pigs, ferrets, birds, lizards, fish...you name it and we'll love on it!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I am very proud of the fact that we have worked with other local pet organizations to raise funds and awareness of pet needs. My hope is for At Home Pet Care, LLC to conduct or participate in fundraising events, donation events, etc every year in order to continue to help provide a safe place for animals of all kinds.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

It's important for you to interview the prospective pet sitter to ensure they are knowledgeable about pets and that there is a good fit for you and your pet(s)' needs. Allow your pet to meet them before formally hiring the company. You know your pet best and their reaction to this person will give you valuable feedback!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

1. Always ask if a company/person is insured and bonded. This protects you if something would happen to your pet or valuables while a sitter is in your home. 2. If hiring a company, ask if they conduct background checks on all of their employees or Independent Contractors. 3. Ask how a company will handle continued coverage for you if a sitter becomes sick or unavailable. Do they have a back-up system in place so that you won't have to worry about finding a replacement on your own? At Home Pet Care, LLC is able to answer yes to all of these questions!
