Introduction

I was born with the passion to love and care for as many animals as I possibly can. I am excited to offer dog walking, pet sitting, and customized care for each pet. The skills and knowledge I gained by working as a veterinary assistant for several years give me the opportunity to care for pets with special needs. I am trained in Pet CPR, First Aid + Safety. There are so many aspects I love about what I do. The things I love most is the peace of mind I bring to pet owners, the happiness I see in the eyes of the dogs and cats I care for, and the feeling of accomplishment and love I get when I finally win the heart of a pet that had once been afraid of me.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Dog Walking, Pet Sitting, and Care Visits in your home: Meet at the customer's home to discuss details and to be sure that I am the perfect match for what your family needs. Overnight Stays in My Home: The customer and their dog(s) meet at my home to see where your pup will be staying while you are away. This is when we will make sure my dog and yours get along. Customer and pet information forms are to be completed prior to these visits. All questions and concerns can be discussed prior to, during, or after the visit

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I graduated from the Veterinary Assistant Program at Midwest Institute for Medical Assistants in 1999. I continued my education while working in animal hospitals. I gained the bulk of my experience while working at an animal emergency clinic for several years.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I was then introduced to the life of a dog walker/ pet sitter. I was employed by a very large company in St. Louis County for a few years and absolutely LOVED it!! I was able to care for so many pets each week and made some wonderful friends.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Every customer I have ever had is a 100% evidence-based no-doubt-about-it animal lover!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Go with your gut. If something doesn't feel right, don't hire that person.
