Family owned small business caring for pets of all sizes and breeds. We have been caring for pets full time since 2018. We all have volunteered with animal rescue groups. This has taught us how to build trust between the caregiver and pet. We have experience caring for pets with separation anxiety and other behavioral issues. As health care professionals we specialize in pets with special medical needs such as those with diabetes; Cushing’s; and those at the end of life. We can administer medication orally; by injection: as well as subcutaneous fluids. We are insured and bonded and all caregivers have a thorough background check. What previous experience does the professional have? Expect to pay more for a professional petsitter vs someone who sits pets as a hobby or side gig

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Schedule a complimentary meet and greet to meet pets and review care in more detail to ensure we are a good fit.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Pet CPR and First Aid; I attend monthly educational offerings provided by Pet Sitters International. I am currently working towards becoming a certified property petsitter.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Retired from nursing after 38 years in 2018. Have always loved animals so I wanted to focus on caring for them. Started by obtaining clients via various apps then opened my own business

What types of customers have you worked with?

Senior pets; hospice care; pain management; pets with chronic health issues and/or pets requiring medication. I have a lot of experience caring for pets with separation anxiety and other behavioral issues

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Caring for a dog who was in hospice care. It was such a privilege to care for him during the last 6 months of his life.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Look for a professional petsitter who is insured and bonded; belongs to a professional organization such as Petsitters International (PSI); is first aid and CPR trained; and has a history of attending multiple educational programs.
