Introduction

As respectfully as possible: Please do not reach out if you’re looking for the cheapest option for any work. Each lead costs a boat load of money and with the economy I cannot afford window shoppers. I will not be the cheapest bid you will receive but I guarantee you I will be the best quality you will hire. I am a dedicated specialist and this is all I do on the daily. If you want quality, I am the right choice. I put in the time and dedication into every project I do. Fast and cheap is not my style, slow and delicate is the way I do my work. I specialize in Custom Door Builds as well as the Installation of Doors. The Door portion goes for Interior AND Exterior Doors. My door installation cost includes the finish trim work, all caulking on the interior and exterior as well as all nail holes covered with nail fill, all prepped and ready for paint. I put my heart and love into every single installation I do. I love to walk away from a job knowing that not only did I improve the home owners house, but also put a big smile on their faces and instill the comfort and confidence that they chose the correct guy to complete the install. I create a personal bond with most, if not all, customers I work for. I want the person inviting me into their home to work to have a comfort around me.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Pricing varies for many different jobs. I take into consideration the site conditions, styles of doors, windows, trim work etc. I am pretty decent on working with price ranges but most of my work I have fixed price points set for most jobs.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I get to message the new customer via Thumbtack, have a conversation on the app, or if willing have a nice phone call to go over the main details of the job they want complete. After we settle on that, I either go out for measurements or I am provided the measurements, we talk pricing and if all goes well from there I will set a date with the customer then the work will start.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have a couple of years working side by side a General Contractor as his main Protege, after soaking up all of his great knowledge I started to specialize in the trade or Windows, Doors and Finish Trim Work.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I started off in Sales working for a Window and Door Company, I made a Sale to a great man who is a General Contractor, after I quit doing Sales he got into contact with me and asked if I was willing to be his right hand man and learn all the trades. I of course said yes, spent a couple of years with him, after that my brother asked me to work with him and his company specializing in Windows and Doors. Years later I fell in love with this trade so much I just decided to stick to this and make it a Masterpiece of Art and really excel.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with any and all customers. From high end, to very picky, to customers who do not care what is being done. I accommodate to each and every customer and make sure that by the time I leave their house, they are happy and very satisfied with the work I have done to their house.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
A recent project I am very fond of is one that is on-going at the moment. We are doing a total of 28 Windows. They are not your standard, just put them in the hole and screw it off. These are complete stucco break applications and re-framing the opening to make the window completely different than what is originally was. For example, we had a 3x3 Circle Window, took that out, cut the drywall to fit the new framing, reframed everything to a 6x6 opening, and put in a Giant new Window!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
The MAIN PIECE OF ADVICE I can give, and I surely hope people are actually reading this, would be if you are going to pay somebody to renovate and add something to your house, no matter what it may be, please, please just put the money forward and hire somebody who actually knows what they are doing. Yes, people like me may be a bit more expensive than Mr. Handyman, but at least with work like mine you won’t have to go and hire a second person to fix all the mistakes and mess-ups. It’s a one and done deal!!!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
I think the main things would be think about your house, your project, your money and most of all think about the work being done thoroughly.
