Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We cater our pricing and products around the customers needs while providing the best value to our customers. We offer the best products in the market. We provide our customers with free consultations and quotes.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
In order to provide the best solution for our customer, we set an appointment to go to a clients home and do an in-home consultation to match the customers needs with our products. We then price out the products and installation costs and present them to the customer.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
We have been involved in the Construction/Development industries for over 30 years and our installers have a minimum of 8 years experience individually installing windows and doors throughout South Florida.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
We are three generations deep in development and construction having developed everything from free-standing buildings to hotels. Throughout that time, we have always had in-house project management and/or construction departments and have been intimately involved with design and construction for various types of buildings. We got involved specifically with impact windows and doors because we were awarded the dealership rights for a Window Sales and Installation business for South Florida. Over time we decided to expand our product offerings to better serve this market and started Shoreline Windows as a result.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Over the years we have worked with all types of customers from national brands to local homeowners.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
While not the biggest window job, we helped an owner of a small investment property where we replaced 12 windows. Do to financial limitations, she was awarded a grant to cover the costs and we were able to find a way to provide her with quality windows and be within her budget. We obtained the permits and the actual installation took only two days and we passed inspections without a problem. The neighbor liked our work so much that they asked us to do her windows as well.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Our philosophy is that we want our customers to make this very important decision because they were educated and not because they are emotional. make sure whomever sells you your windows and doors educates you first so that you know not only what you are purchasing but who you are purchasing. Are they going to be there to answer your questions? Do they respond quickly when you have a question? Are they responsive hen you have a problem? Price isn’t everything because there is always someone who will do it cheaper.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What type of windows are they getting. Why are they doing this? To Save on Insurance? To improve the look of their home? To improve their efficiency? Are they just tired of shutters? Are the windows exposed directly to teh sun and the rooms get too hot? Do they want to reduce noise? What color window frame/glass do they want. These are the important things that the sales representative should make sure you consider before making your decision.
