What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is straightforward and transparent.
I offer flat-rate pricing for most sliding door repairs, starting at $200, which includes roller replacement and track cleaning.
There are no hidden fees, and I always assess the condition of the door on-site before starting. If any additional parts or work is needed, I’ll let you know in advance.
Discounts are available for multiple doors or if you combine services during the same visit.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process is simple, efficient, and focused on delivering quality.
1- First, I get a brief description of the issue and, if possible, a photo of the door.
2- Then, we schedule a convenient time for an in-person visit. I offer free estimates on-site so I can properly inspect the rollers, track, and overall door condition.
3- Once approved, I perform the repair on the spot — most sliding door issues can be fixed in a single visit.
4- I always test the door with the customer and explain what was done.
5- Payment is collected after the job is complete, and I offer digital receipts.
The goal is to leave your sliding door gliding like new — smooth, quiet, and safe.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have hands-on experience from working in the field for several years, specializing in sliding door and window repairs. I trained directly under industry professionals and learned to diagnose and fix common issues like worn-out rollers, damaged tracks, lock replacements, and alignment problems.
Over time, I’ve developed techniques that allow me to complete most repairs in a single visit, with lasting results. My focus is on practical knowledge, precision, and customer satisfaction — the kind of training you only get by doing the work every day.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got started in this field after working with a company that specialized in sliding door and window repairs. I saw how common these issues were — doors getting stuck, rollers breaking down, tracks full of dirt — and realized how much people needed reliable help.
Over time, I developed my own system to make the process faster and more efficient. That’s when I decided to start my own business and offer quality service directly to homeowners who just want their doors to slide like new again.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I’ve worked with a wide range of customers — from homeowners dealing with stuck patio doors, to landlords needing repairs in rental properties, to retirees looking for smooth-sliding doors that are easy to use daily.
Many of my customers are people who’ve tried DIY fixes or temporary solutions and are finally ready for a professional repair that lasts. I also work with realtors and property managers who want fast, clean, and reliable results before showing or renting a home.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
One recent project I really enjoyed was a sliding glass door that hadn’t worked properly in over 20 years. The customer thought it needed to be replaced, but after inspecting it, I saw that the rollers were completely worn and the track just needed deep cleaning and adjustment.
The whole job took about an hour and a half, and when we finished, the door slid effortlessly with just one finger. The customer was shocked — and super happy to save hundreds by repairing instead of replacing.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for someone who specializes specifically in sliding door repairs, not just general handyman services. Many issues with sliding doors — like worn-out rollers, damaged tracks, or misalignment — require the right parts, tools, and experience to fix properly.
Ask if the provider can do the job in one visit, if they offer flat pricing, and if they bring the parts with them. Also, check their reviews — a good sliding door repair should leave the door moving smoothly with just one finger.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Customers should think about a few key things before reaching out:
1- What exactly is wrong with the door? Is it hard to slide, completely stuck, or off track?
2- How long has the issue been happening? This helps determine if it’s just wear and tear or something more.
3- Has the door been repaired before? Knowing if it’s an old fix or original hardware helps me come prepared.
4- Also, take note of how many sliding doors need service — I can often offer a better price if multiple doors are done during the same visit.
Thinking through these details helps me bring the right parts, tools, and give an accurate estimate from the start.
