Introduction

I have a wide range of experiences with homes from very old (dating from the 1800's in New Orleans) as well as new! Along with different architectural structures as well! During my college days I have worked in different parts of the country either working for other specialized general contractors or myself. I pride myself in addressing each specific need with a specific plan for the best possible solution based on budget at hand. From something as simple as patching a hole in the wall to design and build of an addition... we will endeavor to understand the desired outcome and provide a comprehensive plan to achieve the best results for the homeowner! For over 30 years I've enjoyed working with my customers to meet their repair/remodel needs and bring them their desired results. There's nothing more satisfying than a job well done and seeing the homeowner enjoying the finished project!

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Its difficult to have a standard pricing system per se because of the unique aspects and requirements of each job. It does depend on a few factors such as... complexity, level of quality, time restraints, etc... I do however, like to give good, better, best options to the homeowner.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I prefer to meet with the customer face to face to best have a "meeting of the minds" when it comes to working on their homes. I like for them to know me - the kind of person I am and the outcome they can expect.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have a BS in business administration and over 30 years of on the job experience. I've apprenticed with a few different General Contractors in the restoration industry as well as general building.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Started doing back in my late teens as side jobs as well as working through college.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with all kinds of people. From people who had no budget and had a pressing need... to people with very large budgets... including some famous people.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I am quite fond of one particular project where a typical bathroom was converted into a deluxe handicap bathroom. The pre existing shower and separate tub area were converted into one large shower/bathing area complete with walk in tub and separate shower area to accommodate a wheelchair. There was no curb to the shower but a gradual slope calculated to hold all water that could be used to drain quickly without flooding. All materials were high end (travertine and marble) with a glass wall.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Have a good long conversation with lots of questions to cover all details and a plan if possible.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Quality level they're looking for (high end materials as opposed to more budget friendly materials). Contingencies for things like - problem causes or extensive damages unseen.
