What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

—Our minimum price is $90 if the job takes less than 2 hours. if we give estimate of $120 you are paying $90 + $30 = $120 —Cash discounts are available ** I am Not offering In-ground Hoop Installations at this time, but … I can Assemble any Portable Basketball Hoop Assembly and also offer to assemble the I. Found hoop once you have set the pole, post, or Anchors into concrete according to Manufacturers recommendations :)

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Customer asks to have work completed, we will ask a few questions to get any important details (pictures/ model #’s) needed to give an accurate as possible estimate. -We ask for pictures or website link for the product in needing assembly or installation. -We will give a fair market price, for a licensed & insured professional handyman service. Customer decides if that price works for them.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I tried several types of jobs to find my niche, Sales, Realtor, Elevator constructor, Home Maintenance, Bldg., Maintenance and Maintenance Supervisor until I realized I enjoyed working on small projects, performing small repairs, and installing items to help the homeowner enjoy their home without worry.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

IKEA kitchen Installation… started out with a customer& brother attempting to do the installation themselves, not realizing how technical the installation can be when walls are not straight. I showed up to give estimate ended up working entire day to start the job from beginning , not overworking myself or staying at a customer’s house for extended periods, and working with other customers/ clients on smaller projects, a job with 26 IKEA cabinets and 10ft ceilings and with a customer who is as meticulous as Me :D who also desires perfection and is willing to buy the necessary materials because this is the last and only time this kitchen will be built so we are doing it to the 9’s or 10’s with every complete detail getting covered. Started job In mid-May and finished in Late June so 6 weeks of non-consecutive days. As of July 2023 waiting on Granite installer to have Availability.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

1. Finding the Lowest price for Handyman services may result in poor workmanship. 2. Do Expect a Minimum charge for services. 3. Know what you need done, and be ready to supply or purchase materials to avoid markup of costs.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Don’t lie about the Job. Be as honest as possible, i.e, don’t hide any details, if you broke it just say you broke it. It helps us Pros understand what’s wrong and what we need to do remedy the problem, most of us think on our feet and are great problem solvers.
