Q&A

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I’ve been in the electrical industry for over twenty years now. I started in utility work in 2001. I later moved into contract work in the public works sector. I was a superintendent that conducted hands on work and managed multiple crews in the construction of traffic signals, streetlights and underground utilities. From there I moved into residential construction and service work. I’ve since developed a passion for working with residential customers. I’ve met a lot of incredible people along the way. My goal with GF electric is not just to provide clean, top quality work but to also develop long working relationships with clients. It’s important to me that clients know they have a name they can trust in their homes and that they have someone to contact for questions that will always call them back.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I would definitely suggest hiring a contractor that is insured with an active license and bond. These are protections for you as a consumer. A customers can go to the CSLB website and check the validity of a company’s license rather quickly.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
In my opinion a customer should feel comfortable asking any question in regards to the work they want completed. It’s our job as a contractor to answer questions and provide a description of how we can accomplish the job.
