Introduction

I have recently become a licensed electrician, but pride myself on quality, reliability, and professionalism. Have worked in the field for five years now in commercial and residential, and have had lots of experience with remodeling, new builds, and troubleshooting electrical issues.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I like to give first time customers a 15% discount to show the quality and timeliness of my work instead of paying full price.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I like to take the time and walk through exactly what the customer wants. This means taking an hour or so to walk through their living space and examining how a job can be done. I’ll then give the option of offering a bid or working at an hourly rate, and go from there. This consultation will be free!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have my journeyman electrical license, along with my OSHA-10.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
After graduating college, I decided I wanted to work in the trades since I enjoyed tangible results and working with my hands. I took an introduction class to construction, and at the end was hired on by an electrical company at a job fair.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I’ve worked with those living in townhomes, duplexes, and custom homes.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
My most recent project was updating a house in Littleton to then place the property on the market. The house was built in the 1920’s, and had a laundry list of issues. This included old wiring (knob-and-tube) and incorrect wiring methods by previous tradesmen, outdated fixtures, and continuity problems with outlets. I was able to fix all of these issues over the course of two weekends (3 days in total).

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Although saving money is a plus when talking about electrical work, some tradesmen will take short cuts and create poor quality work in the process. Even worse, problems may arise in the future because of not taking the proper time and material to get a job done directly. Don’t be afraid to spend a little bit extra to have a quality piece of work!
