Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My pricing is traditionally based on a nationwide average. Therefore my cost will usually be similar to pricing you will find from most company’s. I do offer discounts based on customer backgrounds and other things. So please feel free to ask about my discounts. There is a $20 fee to give estimates at locations more than 30 minutes away from my current location at the time.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Traditionally when I work with a new customer, I like to start by talking a little bit about myself and getting to know the customer. As I am doing this I also like to address the issue I have been asked to look at. I like to explain to customers how I price my jobs, cost of materials, and the process of fixing the issue or completing the work they would like done. Most importantly though I want customers to know that they’re safety is my priority.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have hundreds if not thousands of hours of on the job training and experience. I have also taken many of online classes and in person classes where I was taught how to diagnose and repair specific electrical issues.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I actually started doing electrical after my last job was not treating me well. I was previously a tire technician and did a lot of work on the road. A family member told me I should join the electrical trade. I proceeded to apply to a company where I received extensive training and fell in love with the trade.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with a wide variety of customers. I have done work nursing homes, restaurants, small businesses, friends and family, and yore average everyday person. I also have partnered up with another electrician to make sure we always give customers the best service they can get.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I was Recently involved in a whole home rewire. Removing old Knob and Tube wiring and an old fuse panel and replacing everything. It’s was huge project that around 30 days to complete. When the project was completed the customer had a much safer home to live in with all new wiring, a new panel, a new electrical meter socket, and all new outlets and switches.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Don’t always hire the cheapest option. As a service professional I have encountered many instances where I was asked to come back and fix others mistakes because they were cheap and didn’t do the job asked for in a way that they were satisfied with.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Ask how far out we are scheduling. Please ask us about ourselves and our experience and what type of work we like to do. Get to know us and help us get to know you so we can better suit your needs
