Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We offer fair, upfront pricing with no hidden fees. Every job is a little different, so we provide custom quotes based on your specific needs. We’re happy to offer discounts for veterans. Estimates are always free, and we’ll walk you through the cost before any work begins—no surprises.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We start by listening—understanding your needs, timeline, and budget. From there, we schedule a time to assess the work, either virtually or in person, and provide a clear, detailed estimate. Once approved, we handle the job promptly, keeping communication open every step of the way. After the work is complete, we walk through everything with you to ensure you're 100% satisfied.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Jeff Masters Electric has been serving Florida since 1985, with over 40 years of experience in residential and commercial electrical work. Our team is fully licensed, insured, and continuously trained to stay up to date with Florida’s electrical codes and safety standards. Our owner, Zack Mutnik, is a licensed electrical contractor and a U.S. Navy veteran, bringing both technical expertise and a strong work ethic to every job.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
After serving in the U.S. Navy, I knew I wanted to keep working with my hands and solving real-world problems. Electrical work gave me that—and more. My fiancé and I took over Jeff Masters Electric from the original owners, who ran it for nearly 40 years. We wanted to keep the heart of a small, honest business alive while bringing in a fresh start. Now we get to serve our community every day, doing work we’re proud of.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We’ve worked with a wide range of customers—from homeowners needing quick repairs or remodels, to real estate agents, landlords, and general contractors on larger residential projects. Whether it’s installing a single outlet or rewiring an entire home, we treat every customer with the same level of care and respect. We also love helping new homeowners, veterans, and retirees looking for reliable, long-term service.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
One of our favorite recent projects was wiring a whole-home generator for a family preparing for hurricane season. They wanted peace of mind and backup power for essential appliances. We assessed their needs, installed the outdoor outlet, upgraded their panel, and coordinated with the generator installer. It took about two days from start to finish. The best part? Seeing the relief on their faces knowing their home was protected.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Make sure the electrician you hire is licensed, insured, and experienced—especially for anything involving your panel or wiring. Ask questions, read reviews, and don’t be afraid to get a second opinion. A trustworthy electrician will take the time to explain the work and provide a clear estimate up front. Safety and quality should always come before the cheapest price.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What exactly do you want done? (New install, upgrade, repair?) Where is the work located? (Indoors, outdoors, kitchen, panel, etc.) Is there existing wiring or will this be a new run? Are there any deadlines or special concerns, like prepping for hurricane season? The more details you can share, the better we can provide an accurate quote and timeline.
