Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
When the technician arrives at your home, he'll evaluate your electrical system and give you an up-front price before he begins work. There's no need to worry what your bill will be when the job is complete, because you'll already know the price ahead of time.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
One of our friendly customer service representatives will collect your information by phone when you call in and schedule a time that best works for you to meet personally with one of our professional electricians.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
The state of Iowa requires us to hold an electrical contractor's license to operate. This means that each of our electricians has had the necessary professional training to be proficient in the electrical field.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Our founder, Ben, has gained extensive electrical experience and education since he began his apprenticeship over 25 years ago. Although he no longer works "out in the field," He takes pride in training new electricians coming up through our apprenticeship.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We've worked with a lot of customers over the years. Our favorite customers are the homeowners who appreciate the extra level of customer service we provide. They know our priority is to take care of their home just like it was our own. We may not be the cheapest, but they definitely feel safer when we leave.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Undercabinet lighting gets the greatest reaction from customers. It takes a few short hours to install, but the difference it makes is incredible! Customers always wonder why they didn't have it installed much sooner!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Please make sure your electrician is licensed and has good online reviews. Electrical wires running through your walls can be extremely dangerous if someone hasn't been professionally trained on how to follow the National Electric Code.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What company has the best reviews? How important is professional service to me? Is a cheap price more important than exceptional service? When do I want this job to be completed? What is my budget? What company do I feel comfortable leaving in my house while I'm at work?
