Introduction

A former U.S. Navy Seabee with over 30 years in the electrical trade. I do residential, commercial and industrial wiring. There are no jobs that are too small or too big. Unlike a lot of electrical contractors, I can give you a carved in stone quote – not a time and material quote. Please call or message me with any questions.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
The biggest difference between myself and other contractors is my ability to give you a firm price. I have enough experience to be able to look at a project and figure the cost of material and required man-hours. Only under unusual circumstance ( history restoration for example ) do I give a “time and material” price.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
On this app - I find that potential customers use the drop down screens to convey the issues they maybe having. It’s difficult to get a good picture of the situation with the app. I usually introduce myself - give my background and ask for additional info.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Massachusetts electrical license, Allen / Bradley logical controller certification, GenTran factory trained installer of transfer switches and emergency power controls, US Navy Seabee - Construction Electrician and over 25 years of practical experience.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Oddly enough - I started washing trucks at my dads friends electrical shop in the summer. From Washing the trucks, I started stocking the trucks. By my senior year - I was helping the licensed guys doing actual work. Went to Wentworth ( the old Coyne Electric program ) for electrical sciences - then into the Navy - CE / SeaBees - construction electrician .... and the rest is history !

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Locally on cape cod - I do a lot of work with 2-3 remodelers - mostly kitchens and baths, I’m one of a handful of guys that has “industrial experience” and I’m happy to work with homeowners who need a hand with a project or a trouble issue.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Installation of new equipment in a bio diesel plant. The work included explosion proof electrical installations and a lot of industrial control work.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Please make sure that any electrician you hire has a current license and is fully insured.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Always check to make sure the professional you are hiring is licensed in the commonwealth for that specific trade. In addition, ask for a copy of his/her liability insurance and if they have a professional page where you might be able to look at past projects.
