Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My pricing aims to be competitive and also reflect he level of service I provide. I try to be affordable and incorporate the most I can into my service calls. I try to be as accurate as possible with estimates and as transparent as possible if those estimates change for any reason. I extend discounts when I can, especially to Veterans.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I like to establish contact and feel the customer out. I like to not only make sure that I’m a good fit for them but the job and customer need is also a good fit for me. I like to get the details I need for an accurate estimate and try to be transparent from the beginning and throughout the entire process.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have a bachelors degree and attended Cornell university and studied engineering. Although I didn’t graduate from Cornell I learned many valuable things while there. I continued my education elsewhere and have obtained many certifications including osha safety and EPA 608 certifications.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have a degree in sports marketing and media but I grew up watching my dad fix just about everything. He was a mechanic by trade but he worked in just about anything and was always helping someone out with a project. When I graduated college I worked in retail and the office setting for several years but always felt like I was missing something. I found what that was doing service calls. I enjoy helping people and have since made a pretty rewarding career out of it!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
All kinds of customers. I aim to be able to work with just about anyone. I understand that it’s often the customers home or property I’m working on and I try to offer the exact service I would expect if I needed to hire someone.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Make sure whoever it is that you hire is what you’re looking for. Never comprise or settle and if you have a gut feeling listen to it! There are a lot of providers out there so be patient and find the right one for you to ensure you get exactly what you’re looking for.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What they want done. When they want it done. Their budget. What they are looking for in a service provider.
