Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
At Atomic Electric Service, we believe customers deserve clear and honest pricing. We offer flat-rate pricing with detailed, upfront estimates — no hidden fees, no surprise charges. Every project is quoted based on industry standards and real-world experience, not guesswork. We don’t offer discounts because we price every job fairly for every customer, every time.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
At Atomic Electric Service, we believe a good start leads to a great finish. Our process with new customers is straightforward and efficient: 1. Initial Consultation — We schedule a site visit to review your project in person, listen to your needs, and answer any questions you have. 2. Detailed Estimate — After the visit, we provide a clear, written estimate based on the exact scope of work — no ballpark guesses. 3. Approval and Scheduling — Once you approve the estimate, we finalize scheduling and prepare all materials needed to complete the job without delays. 4. Professional Execution — If the repair or project allows, we plan to complete the work during our first visit. Otherwise, we schedule the work as quickly as possible to minimize downtime. 5. Final Walkthrough — We review the finished work with you to ensure your satisfaction before we consider the job complete. We believe doing things right the first time saves everyone time, money, and frustration.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Atomic Electric Service holds a State of Tennessee CE Electrical License and is a fully licensed Electrical Contractor. Our lead tradesmen have either completed a certified four-year electrical apprenticeship or have a minimum of twelve years of real-world field experience. Many of our team members also hold Limited Licensed Electrician (LLE) certifications. We believe in combining formal education with hands-on expertise to deliver work that meets the highest standards of safety, code compliance, and craftsmanship.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Atomic Electric Service was founded out of a desire to raise the standard for electrical service and repair. We saw too many customers left with poor workmanship, limited options, and no real accountability — and we knew we could do better. We believe the skilled trades are one of the best paths for people to build better lives without drowning in debt, and we’re proud to be part of that tradition. Our mission is simple: deliver honest work, solve real problems, and bring positive power to every home, business, and customer we serve.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Atomic Electric Service works with a wide range of customers who expect quality, honesty, and professionalism. We serve homeowners needing everything from small repairs to major electrical upgrades, as well as business owners who need reliable service to keep their operations running smoothly. We frequently work with customers going through restorations, remodels, or insurance-driven repairs — situations where clear communication, dependable scheduling, and respectful service matter most. No matter the project size, we treat every customer with the same level of care and attention to detail.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
One recent project we’re proud of was a full service upgrade and electrical panel replacement for a residential customer. The home needed a major electrical overhaul to meet modern safety standards, and the customer wanted minimal downtime. Our team arrived early, fully prepared with all materials, and stayed on-site until the job was 100% complete — no partial work, no return trips. It took a full day of hard, focused effort, but we got the service upgraded, the new panel installed, everything inspected and tested, and the home safely powered up by the end of the day. We believe when you start a critical project like a panel swap, you don’t leave until the customer’s home is safe, secure, and fully operational. That’s the kind of standard we set for every job.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
When hiring an electrician, don't just look at the price — look at their reputation, experience, and willingness to stand behind their work. Choose a company that provides clear estimates, communicates openly, shows up on time, and treats your home or business with respect. A good electrician should have the skills to solve problems safely, the humility to admit when a situation needs a deeper look, and the curiosity to stay current with changing technology and codes. Make sure they’re licensed, insured, and committed to getting the job done right the first time — not just quickly. At the end of the day, a quality contractor will invest in you just as much as they invest in their own people.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Before talking to a professional, customers should think through a few key points: What is the exact problem or project you need help with? -Be as specific as possible — knowing what’s wrong or what you want done helps us plan the right solution. What’s your ideal timeline? -Are you looking for immediate service, or is this part of a larger project with flexibility? What’s your budget? -Having a realistic idea of what you’re willing to invest helps avoid surprises later. Are there any special circumstances we should know about? -For example, access restrictions, old wiring, existing damage, insurance involvement, or other contractors on-site. What level of communication do you expect during the job? -Some customers want regular updates, others prefer us to handle it and check in when it’s done — either way, it’s good to be clear up front. A little preparation saves time, money, and frustration for everyone. The more information you can provide, the faster and smoother the process will be.
