What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We offer fair, upfront pricing based on the scope of work — no hidden fees, no surprise charges. Most projects are quoted after a free on-site walk-through, but we can also provide ballpark pricing with photos and measurements.
Discounts may be available for same-day bookings, bundled services, or veterans/military. We also offer flexible options for larger drainage or landscape installs. Minimum service call is $300.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our process is simple, transparent, and built to make your life easier:
Initial Contact – You send photos, a brief description, or request a free on-site walk-through.
On-Site Walk-Through – We meet in person (or virtually), assess the issue, and give expert recommendations.
Free Quote – You’ll receive a clear, itemized estimate with pricing and timelines — no pressure, no surprises.
Scheduling & Execution – Once approved, we get you scheduled and keep you informed throughout the job.
Final Walk-Through – We don’t call it done until you’re completely satisfied.
We pride ourselves on communication, punctuality, and delivering work that lasts.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
With over 12 years of hands-on experience in landscaping, drainage, and grading, I’ve led hundreds of successful residential and commercial projects — including complex French drain systems, property grading, sod installs, and more.
Beyond field experience, I’ve also completed industry training through our key suppliers and the SiteOne Landscape Supply Academy, which offers continuing education on best practices, drainage systems, materials, and installation techniques.
My team and I stay sharp by learning directly from experts, staying current on product innovations, and applying those techniques on real job sites. We’re always improving so we can deliver long-lasting, high-quality results.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got started over 12 years ago with nothing but a truck, a shovel, and a strong work ethic — doing small cleanups and grading jobs back in Michigan. Over time, that turned into full landscape installs, drainage systems, and running multiple crews.
What began as a way to support my family quickly grew into a passion for solving real problems for real people — especially fixing drainage issues that cause major headaches for homeowners. I enjoy building things the right way, helping people, and seeing the results of hard work pay off in the finished product.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We’ve worked with a wide range of customers over the years — from everyday homeowners to builders, real estate agents, and property managers. Whether it's a family needing a drainage solution in their backyard, a custom home builder on a tight deadline, or a commercial property cleanup, we treat every job with the same level of care and professionalism.
Our sweet spot is helping people who value communication, quality craftsmanship, and getting the job done right the first time.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
One recent project we’re proud of was a full backyard drainage and cleanup job for a homeowner dealing with major standing water after storms. We installed a 150-ft French drain system, regraded a low spot along the fence line, and finished it off with fresh topsoil and sod to restore the lawn.
The whole job took about 3 days with a small crew. The best part? The client texted us after the next big rainstorm to say it was the first time their yard didn’t flood in years. That kind of feedback makes the hard work worth it every time.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Don’t just look at price — look at experience, communication, and how well the contractor understands your specific problem. Especially with drainage or landscaping, it’s not just about making things look good — it’s about long-term solutions that actually work.
Ask questions, check reviews, and make sure the provider is licensed and insured. A good contractor will walk you through the process, give you a clear plan, and won’t pressure you into something you don’t need. If something feels rushed or vague, trust your gut.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Before reaching out, it helps to think through a few key things:
What specific problem are you trying to solve? (Drainage, grading, curb appeal, etc.)
What’s your ideal outcome or look? (Functionality, low maintenance, clean design?)
Do you have a budget range in mind? (We can tailor the project around it.)
Are there any photos or inspiration ideas you like?
When are you hoping to have the work done?
Knowing these details upfront helps us give faster, more accurate estimates and makes sure we're on the same page from day one.
