Our mission is to help you transition a house into a home. I have worked in multiple trades as a laborer. I knew I wanted to grow my skill in painting after my second summer of painting. Painting has given me an opportunity to follow my dreams.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We have fair prices. This company helps myself and my business partner, Ben, afford to live in this wild economy.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I'd love to know what your vision is for your project, time frame, and expextations. Our estimates are about 30mins where we dive deeper into your needs and wants and how we can fill those. We use Joist estimating application, and Quickbooks.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have my associates degree in Entrepreneurship. I have 20 years of experience working. From tuxedo sales associate to concrete laborer, and Lansing economic intern. I started a small T-shirt business in college. I was also vice president of a networking group I was apart of.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Transition Color Painting LLC was established in 2017. I have been painting for 7 years. 3 years full time. I have been in the contracting industry since I was young. It is second nature to me. I love working with my hands and connecting with people.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I work with everyone. I, Charlie, is part of LGBTQ+ community. I work with rural communities and city residents. I love humanity no matter what.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We painted Bridge Street Wedding Chapel in Grand Ledge Michigan. We painted the Bridal Suite walls, and the main chapel ceiling and walls. We lived working with the owners and the other contractors on the job. It was a dream job. It took us 2.5 weeks.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Research paint, color, and sheen. There are a lot of different products out there. Make sure you love you choices. We can help with product, color, and sheen reccomendations.
