Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Since I am the sole owner and the one who does both the inspections and the treatments, My price margins are low. I am very competitive with my pricing and really affordable. I offer free inspections for those who aren't in escrow and for those that happen to be in escrow, your fee will go towards any services needed if necessary.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
My typical process it of course the introduction, a get to know you period of the appointment. Then we Will discuss concerns, or if none I'll talk about the inspection process from start to finish and what to expect from it. If finding are discovered, I will then generate a proposal and options to take care of the issues and make recommendations for future prevention, or ways to reduce reoccurring issues. I will then talk about pricing for services that I recommend to have done and then go from there.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have over 11 years of experience in the pest control industry, primarily in the wood destroying pest and organisms. I have a great deal of experience working with realtors and taking on escrow inspections for home refinancing, selling and buying purposes. I have a Bachelors Degree in Business Management and I am a Military Veteran.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I met a recruiter from a large pest company back in late 2006 before I got out of the military, because like most veterans I didn't know what to do with myself after I served. So, I liked their look, the company's well established reputation and I applied. Started my journey January of 2007, moved up in management with in a year and I dabbled in other competitors to make myself well rounded in the industry.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with every type of customer and scenario that you can think of for the most part. I have stepped foot into thousands of homes between the greater parts of San Diego and Northern California communities. between the bay, valley and in between. I have worked with Government agencies, private companies, casinos, property management companies, apartments, condos, single family homes and all spectrums of each class of living. Everyday in this industry is nothing like the last.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I had the pleasure of taking care of a customer referral for a rodent issue. Where I conducted an inspection of the home, notated entry points, sealed off the areas to prevent further entry and solved the issue.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
My advice would be to make sure that the company is licensed in the area of work you are needing to have done to your home, check the BBB, Check their licensed on the State Structural Pest Control Board and just do your research before you make a decision on who to go with.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Think about how important your home or business is to you if you have a Wood Destroying issues. Understand that there are NO insurance companies out there that cover damages done by wood destroying pests, otherwise we wouldn't have a job.
