What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I’m a small fair business owner with years of experience under my belt. If you give me the opportunity I will be fair and I will not let you down.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Appearance is the most important when first meeting a new customer. If I look clean and my work truck looks clean. You take the extra care to clean your boots before entering someone’s home. Or simply putting on some booties. All these things go a long way.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

In the pest control industry you have to be licensed through the state or you can not apply pesticides. I am licensed and certified and yearly I have to take courses to continue my education in this industry. Also a requirement for my state license.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started in the pest control industry 16 years ago. I thought it was going to be just another job. But I feel in love with the satisfaction of being able to help others. 16 years later here I am starting my little business.

What types of customers have you worked with?

With 16 years in this industry I’ve seen it all and heard it all. I’ve worked with Movie stars, Music Artists, Professional Athletes, to the sweetest grandmas and grandpas. To me everyone’s home is just as special to every customer.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Not long ago on a Sunday afternoon on my day off I get a customer call. When no other company would answer her I did. Customer had a swarm of wasp invade her living room. She was trapped in her bedroom, I rush over there at like 7pm to remove the swarm of wasp in her living room.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Shop around I tell everyone, don’t always go with the first company. It’s good to get as much information as possible. Rule of thumb get at least 3 estimates. Find the one that best suits your needs and that service specialist will take care of your home.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

The way I see it is. The customer is calling a professional, so it’s the professional’s responsibility to educate the customer as much as possible. So that the customer doesn’t have to worry about asking the questions.
