What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Each service comes with a re-service guarantee that creates peace-of-mind for each customer. We'll come back for free to re-service a property if any pest activity comes back. Our pricing is based on the square footage of the home and property that we need to treat. We provide discounts for bundling service plans together.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We want to communicate openly with our customers about our service program and make sure they understand all the benefits tied to our plans. We'll send out the local service professionals on the initial visit to walk through these benefits and provide the customer with additional resources (i.e. like how to access their customer portal).

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Hawx prides itself in its training. We ensure all our techs are licensed, certified and educated so we can provide the best service. We hold frequent trainings and meetings to individually grow our technicians in knowledge and professionalism to make sure we deliver premium services. Our technicians receive compensation increases and bonuses based on continuing education and additional certifications they obtain.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Hawx started in 2013 in one location. We've grown to 15 branches across the US and we credit our employee culture for that success and the men and women who work for us. I wanted to get involved in the pest control industry because it provides so much opportunity to work with people, both employees and customers. Ultimately, working with people provides the greatest opportunity to make a meaningful difference. We protect the places where we all live, work and play from the dangers and nuisances of pests and it makes people very happy.

What types of customers have you worked with?

All types. We work with residential and commercial properties. We work with property managers and HOA's as well.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Look for those companies with an established track record with the resources to deliver on their promises. There are over 22,000 pest control providers in the US. Many differences exist between service protocols and reputation. You'll want to signup with a provider that knows your area and has been known to follow through.

Does the company background check their employees? What warranties are offered? Are the experts in the specific issue you are seeing?
