Introduction

URGENT NOTICE: We want to make sure you know that the prices you see on Thumbtack might not be the final cost. Sometimes, there are extra factors we need to consider. To give you the most accurate price, we'll need to chat with you directly. Just a heads-up, any info you share on Thumbtack won't automatically update the price you see. We try to accommodate as best as possible within the limitations of Thumbtack, and we're here to make sure we are fully transparent and everything goes smoothly for you! Please also note that for residential clients we are a no-contract company, but do require a state-mandated service agreement per Texas Occupations Code, Section 1951.451 before setting an appointment date or time. $50 off new recurring service! All ants, spiders, wasps, roaches, fleas, ticks, and common pests are covered for one affordable price in all recurring pest plans! Please note additonal charge may apply to additional service for active infestations of German roaches, fleas, ticks, and mites. Please also note Thumbtack is an independent app with features we cannot fully control. Price estimates shown are often not able to be adjusted for square footage and reflect lowest pricing we offer for apartments/special situations with homes, though we offer competitive pricing for outstanding service! Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We offer competitive pricing with amazing quality. We warranty all of our work, even the big jobs. Our goal is to form genuine, long term relationships with our clients. We also offer coupons that change with the seasons, as well as referral discounts for new and existing clients. Once you sign an agreement, the price will not change - no surprises, ever! During the holidays we also donate toys, essential items, and money to local organizations to give back to the community that has given us so much. Contact us today to see how we can save you money and get your problem solved for the best price possible!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
After we are contacted by a new client, we schedule a FREE on-site inspection if applicable or can give you a quote over the phone for some services. This lets us get the full picture about your pest and rodent issues and lets us offer the best solutions. We then go over everything with you and give you pricing and options. If you decide to choose us and our services while we're there, sometimes we can do the service the same day, but if not, we schedule you for your service. You can also keep our quote and get more information or prices from other pros and let us know later, no pressure!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I'm a Certified Applicator, which means that I've taken courses and tests to learn how to best preform structural pest control, as well as yearly courses to maintain my knowledge and stay informed about the newest information in the industry. I'm pursing my ACE (Associate Certified Entomologist) license, but was delayed due to Covid-19. I love going above and beyond to learn about insects, pest control, and the safest ways to integrate treatments and preventative maintenance.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have always loved helping people, and when I was offered a job in pest control, I realized that I finally found something I was passionate about. I decided to open my own business after seeing some companies make choices that were not in the best interest of the clients we were working for, and not exploring new, potentially better ways of doing things that benefits the customer, the people, the company, and the environment.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We've worked with all types of clients. My favorite part of pest control is meeting new people and building relationships with clients. We aim for inclusiveness and we treat all clients the same. At Paragon, we want to leave you feeling like you just had a chat with that great friend that you never get to see, but are always glad when you do. We can't wait to meet and make long lasting relationships with you!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We did a rodent exclusion and an attic rehab to clean up after the rats that got into the home. The project took a week and 5 days overall. This is because a thorough exclusion happens in 3 stages and takes about a week and a half total and then the attic rehab was preformed after we confirmed all the rodents were out of the house. This project was very satisfying because the attic was a mess after the rodents occupied it and was a pristine, freshly insulated, wonderland when we were finished.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Make sure the pro doesn't use more chemical than needed. Sometimes people over spray, but in many situations, a little can go a long way. But also make sure that your provider is giving you a fair deal for the work they are doing. There are a lot of different methods to solve problems, but they are not all created equally. Make sure that your provider actually knows what they are doing and aren't just winging it or using outdated products and methods. Pest control is complex and we want to make sure you are getting the best value!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What are you looking for in your pest control service company? Sometimes a one time problem is solved with one treatment, but its always to consider a long term pest control plan so if you do have a certain issue again, you're already covered! Also keep in mind that sometimes problems take a few visits to completely control. Just because there might need to be repeat visits doesn't mean the treatment was done incorrectly. Sometimes the bug or rodent populations were not interrupted in the right cycle and its just due to bad luck or a persistent population. Insect populations should decrease, but sometimes they aren't fully extinguished after just one visit, which is why we warranty ALL services with FREE re-treats!
