Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I will waive a $30/ tree fee for consulting if you hire me. I am happy to work under a budget if needed.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Meeting face to face is preferred as much of tree work is not easily described without seeing it. Also, meeting helps build confidence and a long-term relationship with clients

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
4 year degree in Forestry. Non-profit work with a municipality. Field training summer camp. Plant Health Care Tech and Foreman. I have worked for 2 large corporate companies (SavATree & Bartlett Tree Experts) with each having week long training seminars. Also many large tree felling jobs in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado. 8+ years work experience and 5 years as a certified Arborist.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Fell in love with natural resource management at Stevens Point Wisconsin and pursued a Bachelor's degree in Urban Forestry.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Most residential clientele and some HOA work as well.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Tree removals are fun and have quick results but diagnosing/alleviating sick trees with insects and disease is a slow and long process but very rewarding in the end.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
You get what you pay for. Yes, any average Joe schmo can cut trees but there are major differences in quality of work, safety, and knowledge versus an actual certified Arborist.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
The more specific and punctual you can be with your questions or desires, the easier it is for me to give good bids and know what I'm actually getting into.
